The war in zisrael startet and the German state embassy told us not to fly on the 20.of October 2023. We did not get a refund, just 2 vouchers As the war is still going on we cannot use the vouchers. The value us 2x 705.87 Euros

The war started and there was a warning of the German state embassy that no one should fly. So we cancelled our flight, but we did not have the option to get our money back, just a voucher for a year

Requesting compensation for the following reasons: The original flight time was 22:10 and five days before the flight they sent a message that the flight would depart one hour later. Attached is a screenshot of the message. On the day of the flight we did not receive a notification by email or WhatsApp about the additional flight delay and I only found out about it at the airport. At the reception desk they claimed that there was not even compensation for food. I arrived more than five hours late from the original flight time. Late at night when there is no regular public transportation. Elal refused to give me compensation for the flight delay. They said they could give me a refund for food I bought at the airport and I had to show receipts. I did not answer them and I am not interested in a refund for buying food. According to European law I am entitled to financial compensation, I also have Portuguese citizenship and I asked to receive compensation according to European law but they refused.

I arrived at LHR on time for my departure, having checked that the flight was still listed as on time, and it was. I went to go through security, and when I scanned my boarding pass, the turnstile didn't accept it, and told me to go to the airline desk. When I went to the desk, there were a few other confused passengers there, where one airline employee was telling people that the flight was cancelled. I had received no notification from the airline at all that the flight would be cancelled. They ended up putting us up in the hotel airport and we were placed on a flight that departed around 12:00 PM, and we arrived at our destination at 6:15 PM local time, which is about 13 hours after when we were originally scheduled to arrive. As a result, I missed a full day of my short trip to visit family, who include a new baby and my elderly grandmother- the delay cost me a great deal of inconvenience, as several family plans had to be moved to accommodate my late arrival.

Claim no BAGGAGE 2024 097436 We were told that compensation would be put into my bank account by 21 days. We have sent receipts and lost 3 days of our holiday. It is a nightmare trying g to get this sorted !!!
