Weather conditions
After boarding the aircraft and remaining seated for approximately one hour, passengers were informed that the flight had been cancelled due to foggy conditions. Subsequently, we were instructed to proceed to a service desk for further assistance. Upon arrival at the designated counter, I encountered an extremely long queue, composed of passengers from multiple delayed and cancelled flights. The waiting time extended for several hours, during which no effective solutions or alternative travel arrangements were offered. Regrettably, I was left without any viable means to reach my destination within a reasonable timeframe. As I was required to be at work the following morning, I was left with no alternative but to drive from Faro to Porto at my own expense. This last-minute decision resulted in additional, unforeseen costs, including fuel, motorway tolls, and a meal at a service station. Moreover, I lost the pre-paid parking fee of approximately β¬20 at Faro Airport, as well as the value of my return flight from Porto to Faro, which I was unable to take because I needed my car at my place of work. In light of these circumstances, I kindly request appropriate compensation for the financial losses incurred and the considerable inconvenience caused by the disruption of my travel plans. I also urge the airline to review the handling of such situations to ensure that passengers are provided with timely, effective assistance in future occurrences.- Faro-Porto

I am writing to formally submit a complaint and compensation request regarding a highly unpleasant experience that occurred on 3th of June, during a connection involving a Ryanair-operated flight. Our initial flight was delayed significantly, reducing the originally scheduled layover time of 2 hours and 30 minutes. As a result of the delay, we were forced to rush between flights, with no time to double-check or complete the check-in process for the next flight. Upon arriving at the boarding gate, we were informed that our check-in had not been registered, even though our tickets were valid, confirmed, and fully paid. We were denied boarding without any concrete solution being offered, despite the fact that the aircraft had not yet departed (we confirmed this with a business partner who was already on board at the time). Moreover, the Ryanair staff were extremely unhelpful and unprofessional: β’ We were told that it was not their responsibility, and were repeatedly redirected to other service points in the airport. β’ An employee at Terminal 1 informed us that no flights to Ibiza were available, offering no alternatives or support. β’ Ultimately, we had to purchase a new flight at our own expense for the following morning at 6 a.m., which caused us to lose an entire business day, resulting in economic and professional losses. In light of these circumstances, I hereby request: 1. A full refund for the unused tickets. 2. Compensation in accordance with EC Regulation 261/2004, Articles 5 and 7, for denied boarding and lack of assistance. 3. Reimbursement of the additional expenses incurred from purchasing a new flight (invoice available upon request). 4. An official explanation regarding the poor handling and lack of support from Ryanair staff at Vienna International Airport.- Vienna-Ibiza

I was not notified in advance of the flight cancellation. I was at the airport from 18:30 pm, checked in and got on the plane. Only then were we informed of the cancellation and were not guaranteed a hotel or alternative flight. I traveled to Portugal on the 31st at my own expense, which caused me serious inconvenience. It is unacceptable that they did not inform us in advance and guaranteed a hotel/alternative flight. Very poor management on the part of Ryanair. I missed a work meeting scheduled for May 31st.- Madrid-Porto

My flight was cancelled from Lisbon to Dublin due to the power outage in Portugal on the 28th of April. I was due to fly on the 28th and flight was cancelled. I travelled again to the airport on the 29th (as shown on uber receipt) and was told I would not be able to fly again until the 1st of May. The airline did not help me with finding accommodation nor compensate me for accommodation which was valued to the total of Β£230.08. I was due to be back to work on the 29th, which I missed out on due to being stuck in Portugal for an extra three days. My new flight FR651 on the 1st of May at 18:15 to Dublin was delayed until 19:15.- Lisbon-Dublin

Problems at airport
Flight FR2392 from Tangier to Malaga scheduled for 20.40 was cancelled Monday 28.04.2025 An airport announcement was made that Ryan air would accept receipts for customers to leave the airport and find suitable accommodation. I investigated the next available flights via Ryan Air and found this to be: Tangier Valencia Wednesday 30.04.2025 Tangier Madrid Friday 02.05.25 Tangier Barcelona Wednesday 30.04.2025 Tangier Malaga Friday 02.05.2025 β The next available flight to Malaga would be require 4 additional nights Alternative re- route via ferry and bus on Tuesday 29.04.2025 - Tangier to Algeciras and bus Algeciras to Malaga. No assistance or care was provided at the airport - All Ryan air staff left there positions and Service Air staff left. The airport notified cancellation via text whilst standing in the que. Once we realised there was no flights for days we had 'fend' for ourselves (disgraceful no attempt made by Ryan to assist ). I have screen shots from the Ryan air website that showed the next availability into any part of Spain- Tanger-Malaga

Technical problems
From the outset, the process was chaotic. Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, we were informed that there was a system error, which required us to change check-in counters, resulting in a considerable delay in the boarding process. After finally boarding the aircraft, we remained seated for more than two and a half hours before being informed that we had missed the designated landing slot in Lisbon. As a result, we were told that the next landing attempt could only occur seven hours later. Subsequently, we were informed that the flight would be diverted to Faro, where buses would be waiting to transport passengers to Lisbon. Although this was already an unsatisfactory alternative, we agreed to it. However, upon arrival in Faro, no buses were present, and we were left stranded at the airport overnight, with no alternative transportation provided. In the absence of any solution, we were forced to share an Uber ride to the home of a relative, where we spent the night together in an effort to minimize expenses. This situation led to our inability to attend work the following day. The next morning, we traveled to Sete Rios station in Lisbon by bus. Due to this one-day delay, both I (Maria Chouzende) and Gabriel Mascarenhas missed our scheduled ride home, which forced us to incur additional and unnecessary transportation costs that would not have arisen had we arrived on time. It is also important to note that throughout this entire ordeal, we were required to pay for food and water on board the aircraft, despite the extreme delay and adverse conditions. We find this entirely unacceptable. Attached to this message is proof of purchase for snacks (Pringles), which were bought by the three of us on the flight. This situation caused significant physical and psychological discomfort, as well as direct consequences to our professional obligations. We consider this a serious failure in service management and passenger care, and we request that this complaint be taken into serious consideration, with a view to appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and losses incurred.- Marrakech-Lisbon

Unable to check in online
I tried on several occasions to check in online but the Ryanair site would not allow me to, indicating that my login in details were somehow incorrect. At two minutes past the online check in deadline, and using the same login details, I was allowed access to the site. However being two minutes late I was forced to pay an additional Β£55 euro to check in at the airport. I was informed by the lady who handled my check in transaction at the airport that this is a regular occurrence- Economy

1. What time did you arrive at your final destination? I arrived in Bologna, Italy at approximately 11:00 PM on June 16th, 2022. βΈ» 2. What did the airline tell you, and when? I was scheduled to fly with Ryanair from Prague to Bologna on June 15th, 2022 at 10:00 PM. I arrived at the airport around 6:00 PM, paid over $200 for my checked bag, and waited to board. As boarding time approached, the departure screen suddenly showed the flight was delayed by 30 minutes. Then, every hour, the delay increased by another hour. There were no Ryanair representatives at the gate or check-in desk to provide any explanation. Finally, at around 3:00 AM on June 16th, an airport staff member (not Ryanair) informed us that the flight was canceled and Ryanair would not be offering any alternative flights or assistance. We were told we had to find our own way to our destination. βΈ» 3. What care did the airline provide, if any? Ryanair provided no care or assistance. β’ There was no communication regarding the cancellation until hours after the original departure time. β’ No representatives were present at the airport to help rebook, offer hotel accommodation, or assist with transportation. β’ I had to pay again for checked baggage on the new flight and handle all logistics at my own expense. βΈ» 4. How did the incident inconvenience you? The incident caused significant emotional, financial, and logistical distress: β’ I was alone in a foreign country on my birthday (June 16th) with no support or guidance from the airline. β’ I had to book another flight (again with Ryanair) from Prague to Rome on June 16th at 2:45 PM, and then take a 3-hour train to Bologna to try to make it in time for my grandmotherβs funeral. β’ I had to: β’ Pay over $200 again for my checked bag on the new flight β’ Book a hotel in Prague at 4 AM β’ Pay for 3 Ubers (to and from the airport and hotel) β’ Buy a new train ticket from Rome to Bologna after missing the original due to another flight delay β’ I endured an entire night without sleep, traveling and rebooking everything myself. β’ I was emotionally distressed, having missed my birthday celebration with my family and nearly missing my grandmotherβs funeral. βΈ» 5. Did you miss an event or lose money? Yes, I lost both money and irreplaceable moments: β’ I missed my birthday party and spent the day alone in an airport and hotel. β’ I incurred significant out-of-pocket expenses: β’ Two flight baggage fees (over $400 total) β’ Hotel stay in Prague β’ 3 Uber rides β’ Two train tickets from Rome to Bologna (one missed due to delay) β’ Most importantly, I nearly missed my grandmotherβs funeral on June 17th, which was a once-in-a-lifetime event for my grieving family.- Prague-Bologna

Weather conditions
We suppose to land in Sarajevo airport, but the weather conditions didnβt allowed landing ( som the captain said). So the plane landed in Zagreb, and they arranged a busses for us. From Zagreb we started around 14:30-15:00 and we needed to cross a borders, waiting for checkpoints and spend money for food and water. Unfortunately we didn't kept the receipts. They didnβt even provided water or food, anything at all. So we arrived at Sarajevo airport att 23:30 in the evening. So instead of arriving around 12:55 in afternoon we arrived 23:30 in the night with a child in the airport. We needed to travel further to Mostar but in the night with laggage and a child ,we were really stressed. We didnβt know Sarajevo very well, busses or hotels, nothing and tired from the long trip. Fortunately a friend came and drove us to the Mostar. We lost a day travelling from one country to another, but we also lost the next day trying to sleep and rest.- Stockholm-Sarajevo

There was a long queue on the border between Croatia and Bosnia because of Easter holidays. We arrived at Sarajevo airport at 23:30. It was very difficult travel with 8 years old kid . We had to buy all food and beverages during the whole journey. Unfortunately we didnβt spared receipts.. Unjust baggage fee request for a backpack that fit the sizer
At Warsaw Modlin Airport, during boarding, a Ryanair staff member demanded payment for my backpack, claiming it exceeded allowed dimensions β without even checking it. When I placed it in the sizer, it clearly fit. Despite this, I was still forced to pay. Additionally, I had to put my small handbag inside the backpack, which should not have been necessary. This was unfair, unprofessional, and felt like a deliberate attempt to charge without cause. I request a refund and an explanation.- Economy

Refund or Compensation of Gate Bag Fee Due to Misunderstandi
Dear Ryanair Customer Service, I recently traveled with Ryanair for the first time and unfortunately encountered an issue at the boarding gate which I would like to kindly bring to your attention. While checking in online for my flight from Vienna to Rome on 18 May 2025 (Booking Reference: AZUIHR), I selected the non-priority option, thinking that I would be allowed to bring two cabin bags + 10 Kilo Suitcase in Priority check in. I had only one small cabin bag with me and had also purchased a 10kg check-in bag in advance. I assumedβlike with many other airlinesβthat a small trolley-size suitcase could be brought into the cabin, so I chose non-priority. At Vienna Airport, at the baggage drop-off desk, I asked a female member of your staff whether I was allowed to take my cabin-size suitcase with me. She did not check my boarding pass and simply told me that if I had purchased a 10kg bag, I could take it with me. Based on this information, I proceeded toward the gate. However, at boarding, I was informed that my bag had to be checked in and I was charged a β¬60 gate bag fee. This was my first time flying with Ryanair and I honestly misunderstood the baggage policy during online check-in. I also received incorrect verbal information from your staff at the airport, which unfortunately led to this charge. Therefore, I would like to kindly request a refundβor at least a partial refundβof this β¬60 charge. I genuinely tried to follow the rules and even asked for help at the baggage drop-off desk. Thank you very much for your time and understanding. I look forward to your response. Kind regards, Marjan Torkamanjahangiri, MSc Booking Reference: AZUIHR Flight: Vienna to Rome, 18 May 2025- Economy

UNFAIRLY CHARGED FOR BAGGAGE
To whom it my concern, I am the parent of two passengers Travelled on your airline on 21st april 2025 from Bristol to Dublin flight no Q29L7B. My Two Childrens, Alicia& Abraham were charged in error for excess size baggage,Their luggage fitted correctly and complied with Ryan air cabin standard. My Children had the same bags on leaving Dublin flight and had no difficulty with their baggage allowance. I Feel my Childrens were treated unfairly and they found the situation at the gate in Bristol very distressing and upsetting,I paid the penalty of 135 sterling pounds ,But only because i wanted my Childrens to board the flight. I am a honest parent as are my children,I feel my Childrens were charged in error.I include pictures of the bags of my Childrens carried with them,i am sure upon inspection you will find that they did infact meet the guidelines.
