Six months have passed since the application was submitted, and I no longer have receipts for the tickets. The application was for compensation of 400 euros spent on a ticket from Barcelona to Tenerife, since this is the amount we lost due to the cancellation of the flight from Estonia to Barcelona.- Tallinn-ulemiste International-Barcelona

Gift Voucher not accepted to book luggage
I have tried a few times to manage by booking and add 10kg on flight luggage customer service told me that the gift voucher cannot be used for this purpose. I am trying to pay using a gift voucher bought specifically for this purpose by my son. The name ion the booking and the gift voucher match and the website will not accept it advising that the "The person whose name features on the Gift Card, Travel Voucher or Refund must be included as a passenger on this booking" Your online customer service told me 1 that it was not possible to use a voucher for this purpose and two the system would not allow. This is not listed in the T&cs and the system also gave me option to input the voucher details. The customer service agent could not advise where in t&cs this was stated. When questioned and when I asked for details to raise a complaint as they advised that there was no way for the voucher to be used except in booking a flight I was advised they were forced to end the conversation. As a customer manager for years this is unacceptable. I would like the query re my voucher to be acknowledged correctly. Regards Evelyn- Economy

Inbound flight from PMI to ORK was delayed multiple hours "due to weather in Palma" was the information the captain provided. This delay was then passed on to us as Ryanair failed to provide another aircraft, which was an obvious logistical failure on their part. By the time we were on the plane and in any way looking ready to leave, we were already 3 hours late. Our flight was then even further delayed. As we were about to push back from airport, our pilot then announced that we would have to reopen the doors and board a passenger who had arrived late at the gate. This passenger had checked luggage onboard and by refusing them access to the aircraft, a longer delay would be incurred due to the requirement to reopen the hold and remove their baggage. This meant that they had to bring the stairs back up alongside the aircraft and allow her boarding. At this point, we were due to push back but we were then notified that due to the failure of the captain to push back in time, we had missed our takeoff slot and incurred even further delay. We arrived in Palma almost 4 hours late, and this caused us to arrive at our Airbnb at midnight instead of our previous planned time of around 7:30/8 due to the bus connection we missed. The only thing that ryanair provided in this time for our care was a 4β¬ voucher which we were entitled to under EU261/2004 but I believe I am entitled to 400β¬, as ryanair claim the delay was due to ATC but I know this not to be true, and could see that all the flights leaving Palma that day were on time.- Cork-Palma de Mallorca

I was travelling with my 7 year old niece and flight was delayed because of the strike. Unfortulately i didnt keep receipts for food and taxi that we had to get . It was just too much stress. My niece bang her head at the airport so i was not thinking about receipts. Food was around 30 euro and taxi around 30 euro too. We took taxi from Budapest airport to the city it was night and we were really tired. We missed our bus from the airport to Slovakia because of the delay. My flight from Valencia to Ibiza was delayed 3hours, meaning I was going to miss my connection from Ibiza to Bristol. Both flight are booked on Ryanair under one booking and operated by Ryan air. There was no alternative flights they could offer me, so Iβve had to spend 184.99β¬ to get an alternative flight to get back to the UK. This flight is to London and not even Bristol so very inconvenient but I had no other choice, and Ryan air were very unhelpful and did not offer alternatives- Valencia-Bristol

Flight delayed due to a diversion of this airplane on an earlier flight on the same day causing more than 3 hours delay. This caused us to arrive after midnight 00.30 at the airport and not being able to pick up our rental car. As a result we had to find an available hotel and find a taxi. Taking us 1 hour to have a hotel and a taxi with a 10 year old child. As a result we loose also half a day the following day to pick up the car and drive to the next location. We only received 4 euro per person for food an drinks at the airport. We could only buy a drink for that money.- Malaga-Naples

Baby Stroller
I am very upset. During check in the service agents showed clear signs of racism to my Asian wife who is parent. I am a white male. The main issue is that on Ryan airβs website it says we are allowed 2 pieces of baby baggage such as a stroller. They said that was incorrect and charged us.- Economy

The flight was diverted to Barcelona as Valencia airport was closed, it landed at approx 01.00 on 30.10. 24. There was nobody from Ryanair at the airport to offer advice as to how to get to Valencia, although we had received an email advising us to make our own way to Valencia and Ryanair would reimburse reasonable costs. We took a taxi from the airport to the train station to find that all trains and buses from Barcelona to Valencia were cancelled, so we booked an Uber. We arrived at Balencia airport at approx 08.00 on 31.10.24. I claimed β¬447.32 from Ryanair who offered β¬140, I then contacted ADR aviation who stated that because I did not send in my receipts on time, although I did, my claim was rejected.- London-Valencia

The Ryanair don't consider this flight as a delayed in their system, but the flifht should be on 08.01.2024 at 21:55 only happened on 09.01.2024 at 11:30. Problems at airport
As you will see from the attached documents, the EU261 claim was rejected by Ryanair, because the disruption was caused by the unexpected closure of the runway. I wrote them a follow up email after checking the flight status data and confirm that only this single flight was canceled, suggesting the other departures operated normally and the runway was not closed. They replied to use the official online form instead, basically rejecting my claim.- Catania-Schonefeld

10kg bags
Dear Ryanair Customer Services, I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding the experience my family and I had while travelling on flight number S2IBVX from Bristol, UK on 27th June 2025. As long-standing Ryanair customers for over 10 years, we have never encountered such a poor and distressing situation. Our printed boarding passes did not clearly state that our 10kg cabin bags needed to be checked in. This lack of clear communication led to a frustrating and upsetting confrontation at the gate. We were travelling as a family, and the staff member handling the baggage for Swissport, Mr. Praise Sam, was extremely rude, aggressive, and dismissive. Despite being told that we had paid the necessary fee to bring our bags on board, we were forced to place them in the cargo hold. This experience was made even worse by the fact that my 14-year-old daughter became highly anxious and visibly distressed in front of other passengers. She was very upset by the situation and the way we were treated in public, just moments before boarding the flight. It was an extremely uncomfortable and humiliating moment for our family. We were charged Β£60 per bag, totaling Β£240 for four bags β an unfair and unexpected cost given the poor communication and aggressive enforcement. I am requesting a full refund of Β£240, or the equivalent amount prepaid for the four bags, as compensation for this upsetting and unacceptable experience. Ryanair's policies should not be set up in a way that causes distress or confusion, particularly for families and loyal customers who have flown with you for years. I trust that Ryanair will take this complaint seriously and respond promptly with a satisfactory resolution. If not, I will have no choice but to raise this matter publicly on consumer forums and social media to help prevent similar experiences for other travellers. Sincerely, Irina- Economy

I have attempted to make the claim direct with airline however they have refused saying the delay was due to adverse weather. Admittedly the weather on that day was bad however our flight came from its base in Faro that morning. I tracked it online. It arrived on time. We received a text message from Ryanair informing us of the delay. The text states the delay was due to technical problems. Once we boarded I spoke to the crew. They told me that there has been a problem with the plane on their inbound flight. The flight arrived approx 3 hours 20 minutes late. When we landed as we were disembarking the pilot or copilot came out of the cabin and asked if he could go down the steps first, he said he needed to get to school to collect his children. Despite providing evidence to Ryanair they are still arguing that the delay was due to the weather whereas that is incorrect- Leeds-Faro

Because of bad weather our plane was redirected to Marseille. We were told it would come on to Perpignan. It did not. We were told this about 20.00. Airline staff were unable to contact Ryannair until 23.40. We were left to our own devices as Ryannair did not provide reasonable meals, refreshments, accommodation or transport. It seemed unreasonable to be able to do this ourselves after midnight. We would not have had much sleep time in order to get back to the airport before 7.00. Subject: Request for Reimbursement of Expenses Due to Flight Cancellation and Delay in Re-Routing (FR1577, 3 July 2025) Dear Ryanair Customer Support, We are writing to formally request reimbursement for reasonable expenses incurred due to the cancellation of flight FR1577 from Catania to Berlin on 3 July 2025. We, the affected passengers β Dzianis Zosik and Marta Dzihilevich β received the cancellation notice at 08:52 on the same day and accepted re-routing on the next available Ryanair flight, which was on 5 July 2025. As a result, we were forced to remain in Catania for two additional nights. According to EU Regulation 261/2004, and as stated in your own passenger rights documentation, passengers who accept re-routing at the earliest opportunity are entitled to: β’ Hotel accommodation for extended stay, β’ Meals and refreshments in reasonable relation to the waiting time, β’ Transport between accommodation and the airport. We are therefore requesting reimbursement for the reasonable expenses we incurred during the unexpected stay, including hotel, meals, and local transport. Please find attached: β’ Our original booking confirmation, β’ The flight cancellation notice, β’ Boarding passes for the re-routed flight, β’ Receipts for hotel, meals, and transport. Our flight should have been at 17.05 on 12 July. Because of bad weather the plane flew to Marseille. According to Ryannair and the airport it was supposed to come on to Perpignan to pick us up. The promised redirected flight did not arrive. We were informed of this at c.20.00. The airport staff were unable to reach Ryannair for several hours. Our flight was re-arranged for the following morning at 9.05. We were left to our own devices at 23.40. There was little chance to get a taxi and accommodation at 1.00. No services, transport or accommodation were provided by Ryannair. We were only allowed 4 Euros off purchases in the airport (and their shop closed at about 19.00) We (aged 78 and 76) tried to sleep on the floor of a rest room. Not surprisingly, we have sore backs. We did eventually leave Perpignan airport nearly on time on Sunday morning (after spending the period from 14.30 the day before there).- Birmingham-Perpignan

Hello, our flight was cancelled a day before and we are unable to book another flight. After a day we were offered a flight from Seville with 4 days delay. Since we didn't had any apartment, we had to search for new one for stay with undefined time. We had extended our car rent and additional all the cost with food/ drink / parking. Since we could not make any changes on Ryanair site we had to visit airport and we were offered a flight 200km away from Malaga just to get home which is still 12h earlier. And still we had to extended vacation for one day since on Monday was already working day for us. Although, workers were helpful in this situation, it was frustrating since Ryanair locked or left errors that no modification were possible over their site. We still get errors that payment is missing and it is not possible to review the e-tickets. Vacation turned into frustrating ending.- Sevilla-Treviso

As far as we are aware, Ryanair could not land it's plain at Funchal the day before our flight due to strong winds in there. Instead of bringing the plain to Funchal at an earlier hour on the 8th of July for the flights to and from Manchester to be in time (FR006 and FR007) they've decided to delay both flights. They knew about the upcomming delay the night before but did not bother informing the passengers about it? We felt like traped in the airport unnecessarily for prolonged period of time due to that. The info boards were already displaying a new estimated time of departure at 13:10 instead of schedulled 10:15 on our arrival to the airport at 7am so all additional stress could have been avoided. Ryanair did not offer anythig to us. They just sent us a plain EU regulation dpcument to read. Furthermore, I don't think it is fair that Ryanair uses the exemption for compensation due to a bad weather the day before to cover up for their inefficiency on the day of our travel.- Manchester-Funchal

30 hours before my flight Ryanair informed the flight was cancelled due to the air traffic control (ATC) strike in France. But how does that relate because both my destinations have nothing to do with France. I cannot waste much more of my time (almost 1 week delay!) so I booked earliest flight on 5 July to Alicante and took train to Valencia on u July.
