Don't remember
Ryanair noticed about the delay when I arrived at the airport, and I had to wait for more than 3 hours doing nothing. The personnel in the check-in counter kept saying he knows nothing about the delay (why it happened, or is it going to be delayed for more time or not). He was also very unkind to customers. It was the worst flight I have ever had.- Porto-Madrid

Y hey tried to charge us for a bag, even our bag fitted
We have bought 4 seats , 2 of which extra, we have 2 hand luggage’s, a hand bag and a back pack. Extremely rude approach by the ladies at the boarding gates. Even though we have allowance of 4 hand luggages, even we had 2. All our bags fitted into the compartment and she continues dating it’s too big and can’t fly. They didn’t even consider we had more space available and we could have used the extra seats available. There’s no one fits all approach . Obviously if we had paid for 2 extra seats we could have used the the space.

Complaint Regarding Flight Delay and Luggage Charges on FR24
I am writing to formally complain about the unacceptable treatment my family and I experienced during our journey on flight FR2424 from Tenerife to London Stansted on 22nd July 2024. Our flight was delayed by 2 hours, and although we received an email informing us of the delay, no further instructions were provided on what to do in such cases. As a result, we arrived at the airport at 7 PM, 3 hours before the newly scheduled departure time, expecting this to be sufficient time to check in, clear security, and board—especially given we were traveling with children. To our surprise, upon reaching the check-in desk, we found that the luggage drop-off had already closed. This information was not mentioned in the email update, and we were left unaware. Your staff advised us to go through security with our luggage, assuring us it would be fine despite already having paid for our checked luggage, as proven by the attached Ryanair Travel Itinerary. We were subsequently forced to discard almost everything we had purchased in Tenerife, including natural olive oil, shampoos, conditioners, and collagen products, as these items were not allowed through security. The total value of the items we had to throw away was over €300, which caused significant distress, particularly to my children. This situation was not only stressful but humiliating for all of us. The ordeal continued when, after finally reaching the boarding gate, we were charged an additional €280 to have our luggage stowed in the plane's hold. This happened a mere 2 minutes from where we were standing, making the charge seem entirely unjustified. We were assured by a Ryanair staff member that we could claim this money back at the help desk in London Stansted. However, upon our arrival at 3 AM, the help desk was closed, leaving us with no further recourse. I have attached a screenshot from my Amex bank statement as proof of this payment, along with a photo of the closed help desk. I request an immediate refund of the €280, as it was promised by your staff. Additionally, I request compensation of €500 for the distress caused and the value of the items we lost at security, totalling over €300, as this entire ordeal was deeply upsetting for my family, especially my children. Attached are all relevant documents, including the email notifying us of the flight delay, proof of payment for our luggage, receipts for the items lost, and evidence of the €280 charge on my Amex account. Should you require a full bank statement or any other information, I am happy to provide it. If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily, I will be left with no choice but to escalate my complaint to external bodies such as Aviation ADR (Ombudsman) or the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). I look forward to your prompt and satisfactory resolution of this matter, as I trust Ryanair is committed to addressing customer complaints fairly. Sincerely, Ekaterina Zenina- Tenerife-London

Baggage
My baggage was 10kg and was denied because they said the tyres of the bag are outside the yellow line . I paid for priority service but they still charged me 75pounds so I can take my bag in with me . They delayed us and only for me to be told my bag has to be taken for holding . I paid the 75 quid so I can carry it with me as it contained my essentials . Worst airline ever and this is the last time I’ll be flying with them.- Manchester-Tirana

Sworn at my check in staff for no reason
Chap in front of me was shouted at by checking lady for being in priority queue with priority pass. I jokingly said « don’t shout at me if I am in the wrong queue ( I wasn’t) « the instant retort back was « don’t piss me off or you won’t fly ». Seriously ?!?

. At Burgas airport, Bulgaria.
. At Burgas airport, Bulgaria. at the last check in place before the going to the airplane. 2 of the staff members who later 12:38 only spoke his name, Todor Todorov, hided his badge as the other 2 staff were doing the same, were turning around and hiding in the skirt upside down. They all were bullying all our family with kids in front of all people heading to the same flight. We have 5 witnesses from the same country which we came from and were going back on this day. We were just at the beginning of the line in non priority. Lady on the right hand side, who was hiding the badge and not telling her name when i asked, after incident. So, she checked our passports and scanned the tickets. Then a man who was standing in front in the middle of priority and non priority lanes asked me to measure a bag, i had only small bag with my flight. Which we use on every flight since our little daughter’s birth, this is for 6 years so far. The luggage which fits in the small bag measuring spot, never had a single mention or doubt from any staff in Europe, where we were travelling at least couple of times a year. Small bag fitted every time i was asked and nobody said ever that it doesn’t fit properly or that i would need to pay extra for it. (Picture attached after the person who introduced himself Todor Todorov) was unhappy and said that it not fit. We tried to proof it couple of times by pressing it down, which fitted perfectly in front of our eyes and many people eyes. All people were chocked as we did. We collected details from 5 witnesses as a proof for later if needed. I also believe there was couple of security cameras around which could proof the behaviour and the stress we should go through. Todor Todorov was obviously saying not true that my bag doesn’t fit. I explained that it is the first time any of Ryanair staff ever said to me which is obviously that bag is fitting. I offered to see it again, then i decided to take my cardigan out just to press the bag completely in. Again called him to see it. He said no its not fitting. We took the bag in and out couple of times, maybe 5 or 6 just to proof him that it fits. Finally i thought to take all our personal things and clothes in front of all people, which was absolutely necessary to do it and everyone could clearly see it. I asked that i want to talk to his manager. He said that he is the manager of this place. That absolutely didn’t sounded as true, as he still was keeping the badge that i could not read or take a picture of his details. I asked maybe 6 or 7 times what is his name and that he would show me and what is his duty. The lady who checked our passports and tickets asked to check them again for 4 or 5 times. In 20-30 minutes time. That was absolutely another bullying, i asked that she would let me know her name, she was hiding the badge and not telling. our family just felt that Todor and no name lady was just bullying us so far. He said couple of times that we are not going to take this flight and started to scare us in front of everyone. This sentence was repeated couple of times. He pulled us out on the side and trying not to resolve the situation kept us standing like idiots. And started to be absolutely rude on many people after us for their bags. In all this dramatic situation, by taking all my belongings out, also my gold wedding ring disappeared with my initials gravitated inside. The feeling to cry and felt like a rubbish in front of Mr. Todor. Our little daughter started to cry as we said we going to leave the bag as it is absolutely ridiculous to charge what he said at price 60e. That was her bag since she can remember. So i had to stand for the obvious truth, that later could complain this person to ryanair complains, that such as type of people can not work with other peoples in such as way, he has to be reported and replaced with someone else. Any of this wasn’t right for my family and my little one. I want to bring all of this shocking situation of all people and our family the investigation and to the court. Our family wants the compensation of terrible behaviour and bullying for almost an hour time in front of all the airplane passengers, our luggage compensation and that this person would be removed from this job place. The behaviour and ability to work such as job, of Mr Todor Todorov should be investigated as well as other lady who did not tell her name and both were working in a public place.- Bourgas-Dublin

We were flying booked special assistance for my husband and
On landing an unbooked passenger took the wheelchair. No checks were made by the staff . No announcement in flight as to the procedure. Hence we were left on the plane even after crew changed for the Riga flight. We were left feeling abandoned. All crew members were very amenable . However we were embarrassed that the Riga passengers were left on the tarmac for nearly an hour so we insisted on disembarking( we only booked wheelchair not ambilift) . Then we remained on the tarmac and started hitching a lift from any vehicle that would take us out of harms way! Eventually someone turned up and took us to the appropriate place but we were nearly an hour late and had to pay extra to the taxi driver. This whole trip highlighted a no of issues as to how you could improve your service- Ronchi De Legionari-London

We checked in our luggage then proceeded to security but when we tried to use our boarding pass they didn’t work. That’s when we discovered our flight had been cancelled. So we went back to the check in counter and they told us we had to go to lost and found to get our luggage back. We waited 2 hours for them to return our luggage. We then had to book the next flight out which was’t until the next afternoon so we booked a hotel for the night. We took a taxi to and from the hotel but we didn’t keep the receipt so I have not submitted that. We informed the hotel at our next destination that we were not checking in until the next day but it was too late to get a refund for the night we did not stay.- Palermo-Marseille

Had to pay extra fee for baggage despite size was right
My hand carried bag was a bit bigger than the required size, like 2-3 cm, but soft and could be easily squeezed into place. The lady ad the counter (she didn't want to provide her name) insisted that I had to pay 60 euro for it. She was the rudest she could possible be, and threatened to leave us behind. Absolutely unacceptable. I took a picture of the bag to prove my point,.

poor service
I booked and paid for priority boarding on both flights, on the return flight from Fuerteventura there was no priority boarding on the flight and only one check in desk open, When I eventually boarded the plane I had to put my hand luggage in compartment two away from where I was seated. When the crew came round to serve drinks I was told that there were no cold drinks available only tea and coffee, they sated everything was sold on the flight to Fuerteventura. I am totally disgusted at the service both at the airport and on the flight. I paid extra for a service that I did not receive and can state that I will not fly with Ryanair again.- Fuerteventura-Manchester

Mislaid baggage
The baggage for myself and my son and several other passengers didn't arrive with the plane at arrecife. As required I filled in a Pir form and in the meantime I had to spend 276.00 euros for myself and my son to buy toiletries, suncare, nightclothes and clothes for the following day. My bag arrived the evening of the 25th however my sons didn't arrive until the 26th. I made the claim well within the 21 days required and eventually ryanaur granted me ax100 euro refund, saying 276.00 was excessive. I pointed out it was for two people and that means around 138 euros pp which is not a lot for everything we needed. They still refused to give me more. I'm so not happy with their decision. Did they expect us to walk around in dirty sweaty clothes and nor have a shower or use suncream.- East Midlands-Arrecife

Flight did not depart at 22.20 We were asked to exit plane after some 2.5 hours from boading. We were escorted back to the terminal via Arrivals and into passport control. No communication was given regarding where we were being escorted to, neither did any representative attend to guide passengers or on what was required to do next. Our baggage was put onto a carousel displaying Gatwick, by chance the baggage was sported by another passenger again no representative was present from Ryanair. Out of instinct we went back to departures and at this point was told inadvertently no flights would now be leaving Malaga airport until the morning. Although there were staff at the airport it was handled by hearsay not by communicating with all the passengers or giving clear instructions. Checked in again from 3.30 am once the check in desk opened - one person booking in all passengers - so an incredibly long wait period. Aircraft change caused us to lose our pre-booked seats
Booking ref ZPGMND Good day, I flew with Ryanair (FR9828) on 15th September this year. I pre-booked and paid for 2 seats together for my wife and me. The seats we booked were 34C and 34D. However, when we boarded there was no row 34, so we had no allocated seats. The flight crew member told us that the type of aircraft had been changed at the last minute causing much confusion for the crew and passengers. After a while waiting at the back of the plane while flight crew tried to find us seats, I was moved to row 26 and my wife was moved to row 1. This was hugely distressing for us both. I am 81, my wife is 75 and we support each other, which why I always pay to book seats together. I would be very grateful if you would refund the £25 that I paid for our seats.- Liverpool-Malta

Poorly looked after
I am 24 weeks pregnant and suffer from motion sickness. I was heavily sick on take off in my own toiletries bag, as there was no sickness bag provided. Once I had been sick, I notified the attendant who took it away and disposed of it. However I was not offered another sick bag in case it happened again. I was sick in the toilets mid flight again. Once I left the cubicle I asked the attendants if I could clean up the facilities for other passengers. Where they insisted that not to worry and just leave it for the next person to use. This is just so un-hygenic and not pleasant for other passengers. Following on from notifying them of the second round of sickness, I was not offered any support or assistance other than being left helpless. I luckily got speaking to a couple seated at the back of the cabin who kindly offered the spare seat next to them so I didn't have far to go if I was sick again. I have never felt so uncomfortable and mistreated on a flight in my life. Especially being pregnant I though staff would be more accommodating.- London-Budapest

The flight was double booked.
We were told the plane was double booked, given boarding passes with seats number 0 and go to the boarding area and ask the attendant to provide seats. Attendant told us to wait and when we asked what will happen if there are no seats available she said just wait and she is going to explain. Finally just before boarding 2 seats were open and we were on the plane. After landing checked with Ryanair customer assistance they just said double booking is normal. The flight was supposed to be at 10:00 in the morning, but after a long wait the flight was at 17:15 in the afternoon. At the airport in Malta it was horrible to wait because the air conditioner didn't work. Because of the long wait, our whole day and all our personal plans for that day were ruined. We received a voucher for €8 per person, which did not cover half of the food and drink costs due to the high prices at the airport. Barcelona to BHX. Dress I was wearing damaged during flight
Chewing gum had been attached to seat belt clasp. I wore the seat belt unaware of the chewing gum. The gum leaked on to my dress in several places and on to my leather jacket during the flight. I have been able to remove the gum from my jacket but not from my dress which has been completely ruined by the gum. The dress had not been worn often so was like new. I brought the issue to the attention of the flight crew who provided tissues to try and remove the gum and offered me a different seat. They said they could do no more and suggested that if I wished to take matters further I contact the airline. I seek compensation to replace the dress. The store from which the dress was purchased is selling similar but not the same dresses - which currently retail around £260. I seek compensation to enable me to purchase a similar dress to replace the damaged one. I believe the airline is at fault as it has negligently failed to ensure the seats and seat belts are properly cleaned.- Barcelona-Birmingham

Initially at Malaga airport the instruction was to go to gate B23 to board on time, but on arrival at the gate the instruction disappeared with an estimate departure time changed to 20.15 rather than 17.15. However the plane actually took off later approximately 30 minutes after this. The plane eventually touched down at London Luton airport at 22.36 on Sunday 22nd September, versus the scheduled arrival time of 19.15 so in excess of 3 hours. There was no communication at the airport from any RyanAir nor airport staff regarding food vouchers to compensate for the 3+ hours delay. The air steward announcement was muffled as they were rushing around trying to board people and get the plane taxi-ing to the runway with passengers still standing in the aisles trying to locate their seats, it was wholly unprofessional. They made no clear audible announcement regarding why the flight was delayed, with it again being a speedy muffled announcement that couldn't be understood. In summary RyanAir provided no clear details on the delay, regarding passenger compensation rights (for the delay or food expenses incurred). My 12 year old son was attending a birthday party in London that I was scheduled to collect him and a friend from, but due to the delay was unable to do so, so had to make alternative arrangements for before departing for their collection. I incurred vending machine drink and food charges whilst waiting for 3+ hours by gate B23, having already passed through airport passport control, but obviously received no receipts from the vending machine.- Malaga-London

My family booking of 7 people had our booked seats changed
On arrival to board the plane our booked seats had been changed and consequently all the family were reseated all over the aircraft including my children’s and my mum who has cancer and my father who has mobility issues. One of my children (age 3) was reseated at row 19 and the other one (age 6) at row 10 while I was seated at row 3 and my parents one at 27 and the other one at 29. This caused us all major stress particularly with the flight being late at night also was slightly delayed not only were we told to stand right at the back all squashed in until they seated everyone else boarding the flight they then proceeded to tell us they had seats at the front and when we got down there was passengers complaining that they had paid for those seats. We were then stood there at the front of the plane with a 6 month old , a 3 year old and a 6 year old basically being told to sit in the seats they provided and then told us to split up and put the 3 year old on my lap in which I told them was illegal and totally unacceptable and dangerous and they told us we were holding up the flight and the runway would shut and no one would get home that night. It was very unprofessional and at one point they said they didn’t know if there was enough room for everyone on board. It was totally stressful from start to finish and I felt so vulnerable in this position with young children. We should have been informed well before boarding that our seats were being changed in fact they didn’t even exist on that aircraft and why were young children not next to an adult.- Malta-Edinburgh

Arrogant employe during our boarding
I want to make a complaint to the airport assistant during our check in to the plane. The assistant was rude and was looking for reasons not to let us on the plane. We were the last in line and after showing our passports she wanted to see what our luggage was and even before putting it in the meter said that we have to pay. Luggage was put in the meter and actually it was on it, but she said pay again! Her colleague came and said that everything was fine. Then with every look or word we said, she looked and asked what is our problem and she kept threatening that she won't let us on the plane. Such a rude and arrogant person! Shows that she decides who will fly and who won't. My husband went to her and asked for her name and she yelled why are we taking pictures of her and threatened again , that he will not let us fly. Was charged 124.30 Euro just for getting boarding passes
Hello, We were there at the airport the whole night and we tried to do check in online as well as from the counters available there but we were unable to do as the machine was not reading. We tried to take help and inform about the same to airline people they said please come before 2h now we can't do. Later they denied us to give the boarding passes and charged us 124.30 Euro. This is so disheartening to see and have never faced this kind of issue with any airline. Have travelled to so many countries till date but never have experienced such situations. Even the flight charges was not that much how much we were charged just to take the boarding passes. This was not only the case the lady who was attending us was not at helpful and then after paying so much of heavy amount of money she has given separate seats even tough the seats were empty. She gave both me and my husband different seats one right in front and one right at back. I would please urge you to kindly refund my money of 124.30 Euro to my bank account. I have added the receipt and the boarding passes for the same for proving my statement true written above. Please let me know if I need to add my details of the bank. Was charged for check in 124.30 Euro
Details are attached to this message. Thanks, Smriti Priyadarshani Jha Email : smritipujajha@gmail.com

Baggage
We flew priority with Ryanair 12/09/24. Flight reservation no: OUCDTE at 11:45. When boarding a member of staff came over to us to get our bags checked for size and advised 1 bag ws too big and must be put into the hold at a cost of €75.00. We were not the only ones on the flight with the same issue. I always travel with Ryanair and have travelled with the same bags with no problem as they are the correct size. It seems as there were so many people on the flight there was not enough room for all bags so people wee randomly selected to have their bags taken and put in the hold at a charge. I am requesting a refund of charge made as these bags are the correct size and have been used on all previous Ryanair flights with no issue.- Dublin-Dubrovnik
