Problems at airport

Booked with Ryanair ref No : GRR5RR flight MLT- FCO ( Rome ) 16th July 2023 05.45hrs and return 21st July 2024 22.35hrs FCO (Rome) - MLT. Passengers myself and my wife Mary Therese Grima ID:114468G and two other relatives ( Victor and Emily Bonello ) Boarding passes at Doc 1. Sunday21st July 2024 at 18.20hrs whilst already a Fiumicino Airport I was informed by email that the return flight 22.35hrs FCO (Rome) - MLT was cancelled. Option on Ryanair APP was to accept refund of the cancelled flight or change flight. At the Ryanair help desk we were offered one night accommodation and reseating for flights to Malta occur from Tuesday night onwards according to availability. Change flight never was allowed and at about 23.30hrs I was informed that online booking was available and found last seats on a flight from Fiumicino (Rome) – Catania on flight no: FR1170. Grabbed the opportunity and booked four seats ref no: HSKKJH for a value of Eur1242.64. All stayed at the airport and flight operated at 05.45hrs to Catania. Whilst in Catania we booked Bus Tickets to Pozzallo for a value of Eur8.60 per person. Booked Virtu Ferries trip for four persons from Pozzallo to Malta for a value of Eur344, Booking ID: 10374867. We accepted refund as the option to change flight from Fiumicino to Catania was not available. THis was the only way and least expensive for us to return safely to Malta.

Overcharged for cabin bag.

I pre booked a cabin bag at a cost of Β£26.99. I noticed that my boarding pass said I had a 10kg check in bag as I was approaching the gate. I was astonished, amazed and totally disgruntled to find your check in staff charge me an extra Β£75 for my bag, which I had already paid for. I thought they might have been amenable to realise that I had already paid and that I has made an honest mistake. I couldn't believe their total lack of compassion, understanding and customer service! I am making this complaint in the hope that Ryanair, as a company will offer me compensation at least for the bag that I have already paid for.

They direct me to the online EU261 form but when I try to fill in this form it does not recognise that my flight had a delay for over 3 hours. Then my partner spoke on the phone with their customer service and they told us to contact them via email and explain the form does not work. I have contacted via email and they send me back to the form. Please note that the booking of Anastasios Saitanis is made using my email (anastasiatzortzi09@gmail.com)

Weather conditions

My mom and I arrived at the airport around 6:30 pm. Passed security control on time. The airline postponed the flight several times due to weather conditions, first the flight was postponed to 22:10, then to 23:50, then to 01:30. However, at 00:27 I`ve got an email that the flight was cancelled. It was not possible to hear anything from the airline representatives, as people began making noise. All that I managed to find out was from that email about the cancellation of the flight - β€œyour flight was canceled due to an airport curfew”. The airline representatives escorted the passengers out of the departure area back to the airport premises and suggested them to sign up for an overnight stay at a hotel and also to apply for a refund of the cost of tickets or the opportunity to use an alternative flight scheduled in 3 days. When I asked whether the cost of accommodation would be refunded until the alternative flight, I was told that the airline would only pay for one night of stay at the offered hotel. We had no choice but to buy tickets for the Finnair flight scheduled for 17.07 and agree to spend the night in the hotel offered by the airline. The hotel was quite far from the airport (in Jachranka) and the airline provided a transfer there by one bus. When I asked about refund of the costs that I would have to spend on the transfer to Warsaw airport, I was told that "they should". However, after filling out an application for a refund spent on a taxi to the airport, I received a response from the airline that "in this case, since you chose to accept a refund, we regret that we are not liable for any other airline expense incurred". And I did not receive refund for the cost of the taxi. Unfortunately, this situation took a lot of nerves and money, since the tickets for the flight from Finnair cost more than 2 times more than the tickets for the flight that was cancelled by Ryanair and we were forced to call our relatives at night, who helped us pay for them.

peanut allergy!!!

I have a very very severe peanut allergy, I entered the flight and told the air hostess about my allergy on arrival. I went to my seat which had nuts on the chair and floor. I asked the lady to clean it in which she rolled her eyes at me and told me to sit and wait. My friend then had to wipe the seat, table, arm rest, seatbelt and floor due to the support from staff being very poor. A male air host looked at me and laughed, I cannot express how unprofessional this is and how death threatening it is to me and others with the same allergy. I could not put any of my bags on the floor for the whole 3 hours which meant they was kept on my lap which is not ideal. This is disgusting for someone who has a life threatening allergy and to not be respected by the air hosts. I would like to take this complaint further because 1- the chair had not been cleaned whatsoever when this is a common allergy. 2- I know of people who have had this problem on a plane and gone into anaphylactic shock having to use their epipen. I carry 2 epipens with me at all times due to having used it in the past and being admitted to hospital as my life was on the line. It’s a life or death situation that I think people need to take into consideration and I am beyond disgusted and angry.

Made to pay for cabin bag to go in hold

I was told my bag had to go in the hold at the gate at a cost of Β£75. I paid for priority and my cabin bag was within the measurements. Coming back I had no issues. I am requesting a refund for the Β£75. They gave me a sticker as a customer receipt and saud i would receive an email receipt which dud not happen. Thus is the 3rd time I have travelled Ryanair with thus cabin bag and I am really unhappy that I was made to pay fir it to go in the hold when it was within the measurements.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Flights from Birmingham to Rhodes (31st August - 5th September) Dear Ryanair Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the deeply disappointing and distressing experience I had on my recent flights with Ryanair from Birmingham Airport to Rhodes, Greece, on 31st August, returning on 5th September. Flight Delays and Poor Communication:* Upon arriving at Birmingham Airport, we were informed that our flight was delayed by over three hours. Despite checking in online and arriving well in advance, we were given no clear instructions on what to do. We repeatedly asked for assistance but were simply told to wait without any further guidance. As the delays continued, we approached Ryanair staff for further assistance and were instructed to check our luggage in at the self-service kiosks. However, this did not work. After seeking further assistance, we were then informed that we had missed the luggage check-in deadline. This was particularly frustrating as we had been told to wait due to the delay, and this misinformation directly led to our predicament. After hours of negotiation with Ryanair staff, we were eventually allowed to board the flight, but not without additional stress and unnecessary complications. Unfair Baggage Charges: When my luggage was finally weighed, it came to 23 kg. My allowance was 20 kg for my suitcase and 5 kg for hand luggage. However, due to the rushed nature of the check-in process and the misinformation provided, I was not given the opportunity to transfer the excess 3 kg into my hand luggage. I was subsequently charged Β£95, which was calculated without any calculator and seemed excessive. I feel this charge was unfair and unjust, especially considering the circumstances were beyond my control. On-Board Experience and Lack of Food: Once on the plane, my ordeal continued. I informed a flight attendant that I was feeling unwell and requested food multiple times. I was told to wait until we were in the air to place an order. However, when I asked for the fourth time, I was informed that all food, snacks, and drinks were sold out due to a lack of restocking from a previous flight. This was unacceptable, especially as no effort was made to provide any alternative or assistance despite my visibly upset state. This entire experience was made worse by the dismissive and rude behavior of some of the staff. It was only after speaking to the flight manager that I received any form of apology, though this did little to alleviate the distress caused. As this was a special trip for my birthday, the events of that day completely ruined what was supposed to be a memorable and joyous occasion. Additional Inconveniences Due to Delays: Due to the significant delays, I arrived at my hotel in Rhodes at midnight, far later than the expected arrival time. As a result, I was unable to access any food at the hotel because their kitchen had already closed. Additionally, I was forced to pay extra for my transfer to the hotel due to the late hour. These unforeseen expenses and inconveniences added to the already distressing situation and further ruined my trip. Return Flight Issues: Unfortunately, the return flight from Rhodes to Birmingham was also delayed, and I once again faced unprofessional and rude behavior from Ryanair staff. This consistent level of poor service has left me feeling extremely upset and disillusioned with your airline. I have never experienced such poor treatment from an airline, and this entire experience has seriously affected my perception of Ryanair. As a first-time customer, this was a deeply scarring experience, and I am compelled to ensure that such standards do not go unaddressed. Resolution Request: I kindly request a full investigation into this matter and appropriate compensation for the undue stress, financial loss, and the overall ruined experience of my trip. I request compensation not only for the excessive baggage fees but also for the additional costs incurred due to the delays, including the extra transfer fees and the missed meal at my hotel. I have chosen to reach out to you directly instead of turning to social media, hoping for a satisfactory resolution. Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns. I look forward to your prompt response and a suitable resolution. Yours sincerely,

Out of control flight

I have never been in such an awful flight! The stewards lost control totally. People were openly valuing, drinking straight vodka out of duty free bottles and takin drugs. The man behind me vomited all o er the floor and the staff stimoli stated it was not up to them to clean or at least move him or move us. People were dancing and playing music on boom boxes. Punching the ceilings and jumping around, it was terrifying and instead of controlling them the staff seemed to be egging them on serving more alcohol and laughing along with them. My friend was travelljg with a you g baby and I am an anxious flier. Te staff were awful no control at all. It was like being in a school Bus and I felt completely unsafe. We asked to be moved or for someone to ask the people to at least clean the vomit which was reaching my feet and bag underfoot. The staff did nothing. I asked to out my handbag in the overhead as vomit was trickling down and I was made to feel like I was making a fuss. Those culpable and being incredibly disruptive and unsafe were almost lauded and egged in by staff. Unbelievable! I have flown to Ibiza for years and it’s always a tricky flight but the staff were professional and kept us safe. This was something else

Baggage destroyed and Ryanair does not want to pay…

I flew end of July to Spain. Ryanair refuses to pay me for my damaged bag. I made a claim when I arrived, I have had to chase them several times and only now, one month and a half later they said they would not be compensating me at all!. It was a faily new sturdy Timberland bag and was obviously caught on something and damaged as the strap was destroyed and unfastened, and one of the corners slashed through. I have asked them a couple of times and they still say they are not liable. Rubbish customer service.I thought they were trying harder now, but the customer replies I have received are far from useful. I also asked them to escalate my complaint and have not heard back, when it is their responsibility.

Check-In Emails / Customer Service

I did not receive a check-in email to my inbox ahead of my flight FR6221 from Bristol to Krakow on 26 June, 2024. I arrived at the airport to check in and the attendant/operator told me to find my email. I showed her that I had not received a check-in email from Ryanair, only an email about 'Important Information' regarding liquids. By the time she reviewed my email inbox, she said you are 'literally now a minute too late for check-in so you'll be charged' because I had missed the deadline! Because of this I had to pay a late check-in fee of Β£110 for myself and partner, which I was seething about, due to the time it took the Ryanair member of staff to go through my emails and then being considered 'too late', let alone not receiving the email! The staff throughout the process were not helpful and particularly that the person checking my emails recognised I clearly hadn't received the check-in email. What is more annoying is I did receive the check-in email for my flight home on 30 June (FR622 Krakow-Bristol). There is clearly an issue with the Ryanair IT system in that an important email wasn't received and must have gone into junk, yet other emails were coming through. I have warned others since and it turns out their emails have gone to junk.

Problems at airport

We arrived at the airport on time at around 5 PM for our flight which was at 18:10 PM. As soon as it was time to go check for the flight gate I noticed as well as my parents that it was giving a gate for Malta which was actually for Paris with AirFrance which was supposed to leave an hour before. At around 7 PM which was already 50 minutes overdue our departure time the screens were updated and we were given another gate which was on the opposite side. As soon as we got to the gate we spent another half an hour waiting till we got boarded. Finally, we got on the plane and about 15 minutes later we were told by the captain that we would be spending around 2-3 hours waiting delay while BOARDED THE PLANE. We left the airport around 9:30 PM and it was supposed to be a 50-minute flight. We arrived home at around midnight and had to cancel plans made because of the flight delay.

When i booked the ticket wasn't aware of the baggage allowan

When we arrived at the airport that day and passed the control before boarding with my wife and children one lady at the counter asked me tk pay for our luggage 180 Β£ as per company policy without explaining us why and it was really frustrating as we were put aside and asked to pay immediately because the flight was due . I believe a company like yours should take under consideration that we as humans have rights and explain why without forcing people to pay Jr otherwise they will loose the flight. My children were devastating cause they thought it is their fault. I understand we had to pay but at least we should pay for priority boarding not double money. I have raised and dispute with bank and I need an answer from you as well. Many regards.

Ryanair sent an initial email advising of a one hour delay. Ryanair sent a follow up email advising of a two hour and forty minute delay. Two hours after the scheduled departure time Ryanair sent an email advising of EU protected rights in the case of a delay. A fellow passenger then advised that I would be offered a four euro voucher via the Ryanair app which I do not use or have installed. Ryanair did not advise me of this offer directly. Gate staff advised that I could use the voucher when the delay was at least two hours but that I would be unable to leave the airport. Three of four gate staff advised that they had no information further than there would be an initial delay while one advised that my plane had gone to another airport and they could not provide any accurate detail as to the delay. I requested water from the gate staff and they advised that I would be able to use a voucher when the delay was at least two hours and directed me to a broken water fountain. I asked if they could provide any food and they said I would have to wait until the flight was delayed for two hours to receive a voucher. I had to be informed by another passenger about where this voucher eventually was and it was not enough to even get any food, nor was it available through a channel I had access to. At this point I had to leave the airport due to low blood sugar issues. Due to the delay and the lack of care provided I need to reschedule my travel plans or risk missing a job centre appointment on Tuesday 10th September which may lead to sanctioning and loss of money. I have been forced to book a new flight at the cost of Β£59.98.

Ciampino Airport flight delay

Ryanair has this habit of delaying flights scheduled at night. They do not even bother to let us know the reason. Their care for their customers is very low. I have been living in London for years and I can’t count the times they delayed their flights, causing a lot of distress to their passengers. Do you even know what it means to arrive late at night? It means the trains to London no longer run, it means arriving to London late with the bus, and as a girl, it is not safe at all. Their reliability keeps losing points, and if it wasn’t for the fact I need to use this company to fly to Pescara or Perugia I would have already stopped. They do not offer any kind of compensation under 3 hours delay. I suggest you start taking seriously this delay problem because people are getting tired of you.

Incorrect baggage charge at Luton airport

I’ve just been charged Β£75 for an oversized cabin bag. The bag fits into the bag checker and also fits into the overhead locker which they said it will not. Technical problems

I am writing to you on the basis of the flight from Sarajevo to Milan Bergamo on September 5, 2024. which was supposed to be at 14:20h with RyanAir. The flight was rescheduled several times and the wait for the same flight was more than 8 hours. The last information we received was that the flight would leave at 23:20, which we could not wait for, so we left. The reason we were given was that the plane was broken down, so they gave us refreshments that were very inappropriate, where the sandwiches were frozen and could not be eaten immediately. The aforementioned trip was extremely important to me, since I had a family reunion that was supposed to take place in Italy, and we didn't manage to make it, so I mentioned that it failed until now. We experienced the huge inconvenience of waiting at the airport for more than 10 hours, only to have them reschedule the flight every now and then and make fools of us. We contacted the airport in Sarajevo, and they told us that our status was not "no show", because we were waiting for the flight until 10 pm. We request a refund of the ticket savings because we didn't even go on the specified flight, as well as compensation for the damage and time spent, or all this will go to television and newspapers, as well as directly to RyanAir, because these things are not right at all. I recently had a terrible experience with Ryanair on a flight from Lisbon to Paris on September 6th, 2024. The flight was delayed, causing me to miss my connecting flight from Paris to Manchester. When I approached Ryanair for assistance at the airport, they told me they weren't responsible and suggested I purchase a new ticket on my own. As a result, I had to spend an additional Β£305 on a new flight with a different airline for the following Monday. This was entirely due to Ryanair's delay, yet they refuse to take responsibility. This is incredibly frustrating and unfair. I expect Ryanair to refund my money as the delay was not my fault. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled and advise others to avoid flying with Ryanair.

Disabled seat change .

As I checked in at the gate in Alicante I was told my seat had been changed from 28F to 02B . I realised this would not work as being very limited on my mobility they were going to move me mostly the whole length of the aircraft to an exit seat for which I am not allowed. After struggling the whole length of the aircraft I was then told I could not sit in 02B and was eventually relocated in the middle seat of about row 6 . Finally after this trauma of walking the aircraft length and having breathing difficulties I finally virtually collapsed into my new seat . I spent most of the flight recovering from this only to know that when I get to Norwich I will then have to walk the aircraft length again to disembark . Obviously l was completely traumatised and stressed by all this . I must say that have always travelled with Ryanair doing return trips 8 times a year for the (last 12 years )and have never ever experienced an issue like this ever . The assistance the crew and crews in the past has always been 100% . I am so sorry to complain but I travel again in a months time as usual with Ryanair and hope that I can just bring it to Ryanair that Disabled people sometimes cannot be expected to do tasks that a fit person elsewhere on board would have been capable of . It was not the crews concern but an error with the check in procedure at Alicante airport gate.

Because they don’t have the means to check in online, they were charged 110Β£ in fees to check in at the airport (2.30 hours before flight) or they were going to be refused to fly. This comes after spending 400Β£ for the flights including ONE 20kg bag between them which was an add on because they only allow a small bag which is no 40cm 20cm 25cm as standard, basically a bag that would tightly hold your purse and keys. They are now being told that when on the return flight , unless they check themselves in online 24 hours before the flight and print out the documentation they will be charged a further 110Β£ for boarding passes the same as going. They don’t have up to date technology to check in or print boarding passes. Ryanair yet again absolutely robbing people. Pathetic, rotten airline.

Rude stuff

Even though I have flown Ryanair many, many times I have never encountered staff as rude and mischievous as the stewards on that plane. They were talking rudely to pasa, taking hand luggage placed in the baggage compartment and slamming it into the arms of passengers who did not have priority boarding. They actually slammed my luggage in my arms because I don't have priority boarding and I have to hold it at my feet. But he took the bag of a passenger in front of me to put it on top even though he didn't have priority boarding either. A backpack that is uncomfortable held at your feet can't sit in the baggage compartment but a bag can? Unfortunately I don't know the name of the flight attendant who is very rude to all passengers

**Subject:** Complaint Regarding Flight Cancellation/Lost - FR3398 on 25/08/2024 **To Whom It May Concern,** I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a missed flight caused by the actions (or inaction) of a desk officer at Milan Airport on 25/08/2024 Details of the Incident: - Flight Number: FR3398 - Date of Scheduled Departure: 25/08/2024 - Booking Reference Number: Booking Reference Number: NJDLQI - Passengers’ Names: NARIMAN RASHID DAOUD Pass No. 169532563 YASSIN SALMAN Pass No. 31825179 On the above-mentioned date, my wife and I arrived at the airport well in advance of my scheduled flight. However, due to an error or negligence by the desk officer, we were unable to board my flight. The specifics of the incident are as follows: β€’ Due the officer’s lack thereof, we were told that we hold an extra weight that we were charged for and were about to pay by cash, but she insisted that we have to download the app of the air company and pay thorough I have to mention that we previosuly checked in online. The moment we approached the desk once again we were told theflight is full board and we will be able to take off , although this action has happened due to an information provided by the officer herlself, It is signifcant to mention that this incidence happened a couple of passengers. So basically despite arriving on time, the officer failed to process my check-in until it was too late for me to board the flight and we had to pay ourselves for a new flight and we have not got any compensation. As a result of this error, I experienced significant inconvenience and financial loss, it had affected all our plans including and not limited to hotel reservations, car rental timing, group tour guiding in the hosting country and not to forget we were mentally overwhelmed over the injustice that occured due to an unprofessional officer’s action In light of this situation, I am requesting the following: β€’ Full Refund/Reimbursement: I request a full refund of my ticket price. β€’ Compensation for Additional Expenses: I request reimbursement for any expenses incurred due to this situation, including [list expenses such as hotel stays, meals, alternative transportation, etc.]. β€’ Compensation for Inconvenience: As per the relevant regulations and airline policies, I request compensation for the inconvenience caused by missing this flight. Supporting Documents: I have attached the following documents to support my complaint: β€’ A copy of my booking confirmation. β€’ Any receipts for additional expenses incurred. β€’ Any evidence of the officer’s error, such as photos, names, or statements from witnesses if available. I expect a prompt resolution of this matter and would appreciate a response within [specify a reasonable timeframe, e.g., 14 days]. Thank you for your attention

Charged for Excess Baggage on Hand Luggage

Charge 70 euros for apparent "oversize" hand luggage case which is the size Ryan Air allow, was stopped and asked to put in the size gauge and was 3 mm out and he told me it was oversize as other passengers were going past with bulging hand luggage cases, very unfair when I had already paid for priority and speedy boarding and once on the flight looked in the hold and saw loads of unbelievably bigger cases which weren't stopped, feel if I hadn't done speedy boarding and paid to take a case I could have taken the case and probably wouldn't have been stopped, very rude staff, no option other than to pay and just trying to make extra money from passengers who have already paid, my partner had one small hand luggage bag so wasn't like we had loaded up and also my case was under 10kg, will not be travelling again awful service and staff!

Technical problems

I am writing to you on the basis of the flight from Sarajevo to Milan Bergamo on September 5, 2024. which was supposed to be at 14:20h with RyanAir. The flight was rescheduled several times and the wait for the same flight was more than 8 hours. The last information we received was that the flight would leave at 23:20, which we could not wait for, so we canceled it. We request a refund of the ticket savings because we didn't even go on the specified flight, as well as compensation for the damage and time spent, or all this will go to television and newspapers, as well as directly to RynAir, because these things are not right at all. At the gate and the flight was 8 tickets overbooked. We arrived 30 minutes before the departure and they told us we don't have seats, our seats was given to other people, how they arrived earlier, from overbooked tickets. They told us to go to costumer service, because we are late, and our seat was given to other passengers. All this time some people in front of us was still going through the gate. We raun to the costumer service and they told us the gate is still open, was only 5:30, and we came back to see they just let another person tru the gate , and they told us is different story, because our seats was given to someone else. We booked to the next available close to Romania, Dublin to Budapest and they changed 100 each passengers We pay 500 euro

It's about the flight from Athens to Budapest. Date: September 4, 2024 at 2:55 p.m. FR1242. When I get to the seat, the entire row of seats DEF was dirty with leftover food. I reported the problem to the flight attendant and asked him to please wipe down the seats. But he said that I just have to take my place without deviating. Really, I was shocked, but thought, maybe he didn't understand what I said, then I showed him the dirty row of seats, but he still said, I have to take the seat as the seat is! Since the flight attendant didn't have a name tag, I asked for his name. Do you know what your employees are called? This flight attendant's name is: Marlon Brando. I think it's really cheeky to answer like that! Then I cleaned our row of seats myself. Maybe I wouldn't write my complaint now if Ryanair had the same rules for everyone... BUT! In 5 min. a MAN came, his row of seats was to our left. Seats ABC, with different NATIONALITY than mine, saw that his row of seats is also dirty with leftover food, tells the same flight attendant that he wants the seats to be wiped of dirt. This very flight attendant brings a rag and wipes the entire row of seats ABC. My question: I guess the employees of your company are your representatives and face. Then I'll ask the Ryanair company directly: Are your employees so trained that the service is directly linked to gender and nationality? I would like to get a reasonable explanation from you. (Friendly) greetings L. Lozhkina

My name is Elena Georgieva and I was travelling with my daughter Merian Zaimova and my son Maxim Zaimov and we struggled with major problems during our flight to Sofia Bulgaria first of all starting with the fact that we were told we missed our flight when we arrived at the gate at the necessary time to be boarded but in my opinion I think the flight was over booked due to a previous cancellation made the week before this issue. We were given options of flights that Ryanair had but they were no good to us considering we had a whole holiday planned so they put all of us three on stand by flights and were promised numbers 1,2,3 by the people at customer services, however this wasn’t the case we firstly waited over 10 hours for the 1st stand by flight considering we were promised places 1,2,3 but as we get to the gate waiting for everyone to board there was around 10 of us waiting to see if we can get on and on the list the people had at the boarding gate our names were the top of the list but they crossed off people that were after us even when there was 7 spots on the plane. We were told we can’t get on causing my children to get emotional after being drained at the airport for so long just to do it all over again because we weren’t given any other options. We waited again for the 2nd stand by on the same day once again no space and the next flight to Bulgaria was the next day at 5pm so there was no other choice but to go home.More money was wasted on unnecessary transport back home late at night, everyone was so drained especially being on my own with two children going in and out of the airport over and over again and then having to go back home was not news that you would want to take home to your family worrying abroad about what is happening with the flights. The next day we were also given places on a stand by flight and went through the same process again additionally having to pay for unnecessary transportation back to the airport where we were meant to take off the day before. The 3rd stand by flight my daughter had to be separated from us because there was only one spot and it was better sending one person off so there is more of a chance of getting on the next flight later that day.My daughter was stressed considering it was her first time flying alone without any family support which shouldn’t have been the case but had to be done because there was no other option.Me and my son ended up getting on the next flight later that day and arriving to Bulgaria at 1am on the 8th of August. This whole journey took over 20 hours and caused all of us to be consistently reminiscing the situation in a bad light and also causing emotional damage especially to my children and one of them still being young. Hopefully after hearing the journey you will be able to provide us with the best compensation you are able to offer.

The flight was delayed for 3 hours and 33 minutes. In the Ryanair app it was written that the reason for that was repair of the plane. The Ryanair provided us with vouchers worth 15 zl each. However, it was barely enough to buy a small sandwich in the airport cafe. So we needed to buy extra food and water for own money. Also, due to the delay we were ought to change our transfer bus tickets several times and change the plan of our trip. That hurt our sleep and experience in general.

Check in staff racist behaviour

I was travelling along my wife to Barcelona. When we came to check in counter Ryanair staff he started to talk in punjabi which is non professional behaviour and then he asked me a very strange question that β€œwhere are you going”, it’s very very non professional specially in airline industry. Once I handed my passport over to him he must have know by scanning my passport about my travelling destination . The way he talked to us was very non professional and a kind of rude.

Unfair Treatment Regarding Baggage Fees

Dear Ryanair Customer Service Team, I am writing to express my disappointment with the treatment I received during my recent experience with Ryanair. I had purchased priority boarding, and despite my suitcase fitting perfectly within the allowed dimensions, I was repeatedly pressured by your staff to pay for extra baggage fees. This situation caused unnecessary stress (especially traveling alone as a young female) and inconvenience during what should have been a straightforward boarding process. Additionally, I felt compelled to break my suitcase as I did not want to incur additional charges, even though my luggage complied with the guidelines. I kindly request a review of this incident and seek clarification on why I was asked to pay for additional baggage when my suitcase adhered to the specified rules. Customers should not be put in a position where they feel forced to damage their belongings due to unfair charges. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your prompt response. Sincerely, Roksana

Delayed flight FR1333 from Italy Naples (NAP) to Lithuania Kaunas (KUN) on the 03-09-2024, booking reference YSK8XH. My original departure time was scheduled for 11:40, but the actual departure time was 15:30. This delay exceeds more than three hours. Due to flight delays, I missed the bus from Kaunas to Riga that was scheduled and had to buy bus tickets again. According to Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 of the European Parliament and the Council, I am entitled to compensation for this delay as there were no extraordinary circumstances justifying the delay. As detailed in your notice on passenger rights: 1. The flight was departing from an airport in the EU, making the regulation applicable. 2. I had a confirmed reservation and was present for check-in well before the published departure time. 3. The delay was not due to extraordinary circumstances such as weather conditions or strikes. Based on the judgment in cases C-402/07 and C-432/07, our delay can be treated as a cancellation. Additionally, the court decision in case C-28/20 confirms that even a pilot strike obliges the airline to pay compensation. Therefore, this delay warrants compensation under Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004. As per the regulation, the compensation for a flight delay over three hours is as follows: EUR 250 for flights of 1500 km or less EUR 400 for flights within the EU of more than 1500 km EUR 600 for flights beyond 3500 km Our flight distance falls under the second category (more than 1500 km but within the EU), entitling me to EUR 400 in compensation. Please process this compensation for all passengers under my reservation.
