Carry on case
I ordered a very small suitcase especially for this flight only to be told by an extremely unpleasant mannered Ryan air lady to put it into the bag fit which it fitted into. Despite this she insisted i paid Β£60 even though it adhering to the measurements having being specifically bought for this flight. This is just totally unacceptable. The flight service was appalling there was no food offered and when they arrived at Dublin airport the brakes were applied so hard we all fell forward as the plane shuddered badly to a halt. All in all probably the worst flying experience i have ever witnessed and i would appreciate some form Of compensation if not just the Β£60 Which i was wrongly charged. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that we can resolve this issue without having to take it any further.- Bristol-Dublin

I was hit twice on the head by falling luggage
As we landed, a passenger opened the overhead storage and a metal crutch fell on my head. It belonged to the captain's father. I was asked to move to the front seat as I required assistance to disembark as I injured my knee whilst on holiday. Whilst I was seated in the aisle seat the stewardess opened the overhead storage and dropped a case on my head. I burst into tears. She apologised but noone seemed overly concerned even though I was sobbing and in pain. It really hurt and left me with a severe headache. She was of Chinese origin I think and I believe her name was China and she seemed to be in charge. I am already a nervous flier and pointed this out to the crew at the start of the flight. Now I feel traumatised and terrified to get on a plane in the future.- Palma de Mallorca-Birmingham

Technical problems
My flight from Charleroi Airport to Venice Treviso scheduled for 28.06 - booking reference DNDZTW - was cancelled 1 hour before the scheduled departure time. As a result, to travel to Italy as soon as possible because of urgent matters, I had to personally book with Brussels Airlines for the 30.06 at 6.50 AM, given that according to the customer assistance at the airport the first available flight would have been on Sunday evening only and landing in Bologna. This would have been too late, given my urgent matters in the area of Venice. Please also note the alternative option of Brussels Airlines was not suggested by Ryanair employees. Therefore I am asking for: -reimbursement of travel expenses to the Charleroi airport and back to Brussels: see scanned tickets in the attachment, β¬ 37.35 -reimbursement of the booking with the alternative airline company Brussels Airlines, scheduled for 30.06 at 6.50 AM, see the attached receipt, β¬ 284.17 -compensation for the lost working hours on Friday afternoon and the delayed arrival in Italy, which could have been avoided by preventively cancelling the flights scheduled for the 28.06 (or simply by not accepting bookings), given that -as I was informed on the very day I booked my flight- Ryanair was aware of possible perturbations for the 28.06, due to ATC staff shortages: Β β¬ 500. Thank you for taking care of this, Kind regards, Verena Lenna- Charleroi-Treviso

Delay and lack of customer service
Dear Ryanair Customer Service, I am writing to express my absolute disgust and frustration with the appalling experience I am currently enduring on flight FR8719. The flight was scheduled to depart at 18:50 on 13/08, but as of 20:38, I am still trapped inside this plane with no clear updates or explanations regarding the delay. To make matters worse, the air conditioning on this flight is either nonexistent or severely inadequate, leaving passengers to suffer in stifling conditions on a 22-degree day. This level of discomfort is not only unacceptable but also downright negligent. The lack of communication and disregard for passenger well-being is astonishing. We deserve to be treated with respect and kept informed of the situation, but instead, we are left in the dark, sweltering in this heat, with no end in sight. This experience is utterly unacceptable and reflects extremely poorly on Ryanair's standards and commitment to its customers. I demand immediate action to rectify this situation and appropriate compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused by this outrageous delay and intolerable conditions. I expect a prompt and thorough response to this complaint, as well as an explanation for this disgraceful service. Sincerely, Lucas Massone- London-Milano

I am writing to formally request compensation for the significant delay of our flight on 01/08/24. Our flight was scheduled to depart at 20:35 but did not take off until gone 1am. As a passenger traveling with my children, who require special assistance due to medical conditions, this experience was particularly traumatic for us. Unfortunately, we felt ignored by the Ryanair staff during this challenging time, which contributed to a hostile atmosphere among passengers. At one point, my children were even shouted at by other passengers and members of staff, further adding to their distress. The delay also stranded us at the empty airport with no access to taxi services as there was 5 of us and we had missed our 7seater taxi that was supposed to collect us due to the delays. We ended up on a morning bus into Alicante (C6) then walking the streets in unfamiliar territory where no one spoke English. we had had no sleep. I was the only adult in my group and I have epilepsy so the massive lack of sleep put my family in danger. We was lucky enough to find a stray taxi and call his firm and order a taxi. We had to get a taxi to a family members in Yecla as we were unable to check in at our hotel as it was too late, resulting in additional financial loss. We arrived at 9:37am making this over a 13 hour journey meaning when we did arrive we all needed to sleep which ruined the start of our holiday as it had altered our sleep patterns. I believe it is important for airlines to acknowledge the impact of such delays on their passengers, especially those with special needs.- London-Alicante

This flight originally planned to depart at 21:30 on 29th June was cancelled due to unavailability of Cabin Crew and re-scheduled the following day, leaving my Family & I stranded in Dublin Airport. Specifically, we finally boarded the flight at 23:00 on the Sat 29th June and then at 23:30 the cabin crew informed us βthat due to failure of Irish Cabin Crew to join the flightβ there was and issue with inadequate Cabin Crew for flight. The flight was therefore cancelled and a new Flight would be arranged. Sometime later Flight #FR9998 was scheduled to replace this flight departing at a new time of Sunday 30th June at 0700. There was never any communication about Air Traffic Control Services between Ireland and Mallorca on the night of Saturday 29th June. Once we disembarked the flight the local Ground crew informed us of No Hotel Accomodation available in Dublin due to Taylor Swift Concert. We therefore had a sleepless night in Dublin Airport. The Ground Crew gave us information via printout regarding claiming compensation and information about EU/261. These was absolute Clarity that we are entitled to Compensation & reasonable expenses. WE spent the night at BurgerKing in Dublin Airport instead of our Hotel in Palma Mallorca. Ryanair Claimed this flight was cancellrd due to Aircraft Control and as such is not entitled to compensation This is their email & it is nonsense! ============================================== Your request (51758606) has been updated. To add additional comments, reply to this email. Maria K. (Ryanair) 3 Aug 2024, 08:43 IST Dear Mr Fleming, We refer to your recent correspondence dated 02/08/2024. We regret the delay of your flight FR9997 from Dublin to Palma de Mallorca on the 29/06/2024 which was delayed due to restrictions of the airspace imposed by air traffic control services which was outside of our control. As this delay was unexpected, no compensation is due under EU261/2004 as the circumstances was beyond Ryanair's control. As per our policy, Ryanair is unable to consider prepaid expenses, therefore we are not in a position to process your request for reimbursement. Please be advised that we are not in the position to reimburse any expenses without a properly detailed (dated, itemised) receipt. We also wish to inform you that a bank or card statement of expenses cannot be considered as a copy of your receipt. Charged β¬120 for two bags that fitted in the metal cage
Gate One , Cork, inconsistencies and contradictory actions by Ryanair staff at gate one, 10th August, Ryan Air, Cork to Gatwick, Flight FR771. 16:25 Even though we were delayed with Ryan Air, we were subjected to individual checks and subsequently charged β¬120 for two bags which were a tight squeeze but they did fully enter the size-testing metal box correctly see photo. Martyna , was the senior manager who unreasonably oversaw and overruled her colleague and said my daughter and I had to pay, while her colleague passed them as acceptable cabin bags. My wife with an identical bag went through before us fine. Double standards and contradictory advice. Threatened to take our bags of we didnβt pay. Also removed our passports.

Charged extra for luggage
We were both charged extra for luggage we had paid extra for priority boarding and 1 small luggage and cabin luggage. The attendee had said the luggage was too large. So asked for it to be put into the box to check size. It fully fit and the IT luggage was fully cabin compliant. The luggage size was measured to be the same size as Ryanair suggested. But the attend said I was above the limit. And I have photographs to show it was fitting in the box. I was asked to step aside whilst she kept my passport. And then asked to speak to her colleague who she asked to charge us Β£75 each website states Β£35 on the day. As this was being processed several people walked through without measuring their luggage and I could see for a fact that the luggage was bigger than mine but they were not charged. As we tried to state our point of missing others as they walked away without being charged we were told thatβs not my problem. We paid the fee. As we exited the plane in Copenhagen we had noticed another customer leave the plane the exact same luggage as ours who was able to board the plan without extra charge. We want refund as we shouldnβt havenβt had to pay extra for 2 cabin cases to be checked as they fit the standard measurement requirements. Images attached of the suitcases in the box and also cases we saw on the plane which are similarly size or bigger. Were also not given a receipt with purchase and wouldnβt expect credit cards.- Bristol-Copenhagen

Lost suitcase
One of our suitcases did not make it for our holiday. It was meant to be 3 of us travelling but my husband was unable to make it. I had already checked all 3 of us in online. When putting the bags through one of the cases would not scanned I had already told the assistant that my husband was not travelling with us. She told me to scan my husbandβs boarding pass so the case would go through. I have since found out this is why it never left Edinburgh. We had quite a lot of things in it that were important so we were totally inconvenienced. I still donβt have my case even although Iβve been back since 4/08- Edinburgh-Rome

Abs disgusted with Ryanair
We WERE at the airport in Luton for our flights to knock airport ON TIME, we got a private taxi we we held in security cues in Luton for 2 hours , bit we still made the gate on time only to be told by a RUDE ryanair lady the captain said he's not boarding anymore passengers, she didn't care that my children were crying , we complained to the lady at the dest in Luton and she told us straight up ryanair overbook passengers by 17 per flight per day , this is absolutely not good enough we paid priority amd we know the terms and conditions if ryanair if you check my history youveill see we travel with ye yearly NEVER AGAIN, , our band were in that flight and we had tobwqit foe them to off load but the lady let the passenger behind us on, my son has all this recorded and WE WILL take this further as there was no flights till the 8th of August I, had this family break booked to presisoon ,I missed my oncology and immunology app because if this stupid carry on from ryanair plus we were charged 180 euro for carry on bags in knock whicjbwe have pictures of and even the other cust said that was scandalous, we had to get a train from Luton to Holyhead at the cost of 450 pounds and a further 250 euro for the ferry stena line, and a further 90 euro for train to mayo, not to mention the distress my children encountered One of my lads took an asthma attack due to pure anxiety and the other lad is a bad traveller and was getting sick on the train in the taxi on the boat everywhere, this is absolutely not good enough and I will bring this as far as I can it's a disgrace to think people Can be treated like this, my husband and son missed 2 days off work as there were to tired to think 28 hours it took us to travel home, I will go to social media, take you to the small claims court ibwill do what I have to do, this is totally disgusting due to Jo fault of our own it's ryanair fault the plane even left before time we were there we saw it and my son has all this on record , to say I'm disgusted is an understatement, we could not afford to pay all that money and I want this sorted immediately- London-Connaught

Breach of specialAssistance agreement causing illness &
It is crucial that I highlighting the importance of the prior arrangements I made with the special needs assistance operative. The fact that I meticulously planned these details 48 hours in advance, specifically with Ryanair operative personally to accommodate my needs and maintain my independence, whilst navigating through the airport. Ryanairβs failure to communicate or uphold these arrangements not only caused me physical and emotional distress but also represents a breach of their duty to provide reasonable and agreed-assistance. I took proactive steps to ensure my travel needs were met by coordinating with Ryanairβs special assistance team 48 hours before my flight. This included providing specific details about my mobility scooter and the necessity of keeping it with you until boarding. Expectation of Service: my unmet needs based on this poor internal coordination, prevented me from being able to maintain your independence while navigating the airport. Breach of Promise and Trust: Failure to Deliver Agreed Assistance: I am clear that Ryanairβs failure to uphold the arrangements made with the special assistance team and the lack of communication for both my outbound and return journeys, directly contradicts the promises you made to me. This not only disrupted my travel but also left me in a vulnerable and challenging situation. This compounded especially regarding my basic needs like using the restroom accessing food and drink etc The Impact on my Health and Well-Being were severely impacted causing emotional and physical toll due to Ryanairβs breach of promise exacerbating my health conditions Call for Accountability: Failure in Internal Communication: this situation points to a significant lapse in Ryanairβs internal communication processes. Someone within your team failed to relay critical information, leading to a breakdown in the service I was assured would be met. With my return journey being more difficult due to me collapsing and bruising my already wear joints. I Demand for a proper redress, I expect Ryanair to take full accountability, including compensation for the distress and difficulties caused by their mishandling on both flights I Further Emphasise on Breach of Promised Assistance: I must stress that my arrangements were made 48 hours in advance directly with your special assistance operative. I provided all necessary details, including the importance of keeping my mobility scooter until boarding, to ensure my independence and comfort throughout my journey. Despite these precautions, the arrangements were not honored, on both on my flights, leading to significant distress injury and challenges that could have been easily avoided. This failure to follow through on agreed-upon assistance is not only a breach of trust but also a clear indication that internal communication within Ryanair was inadequate. The impact on my well-being was profound, and I believe this level of service is unacceptable, especially when specific needs and arrangements were clearly communicated in advance. I urge Ryanair to thoroughly investigate this breach and take appropriate action to ensure that such failures do not recur, particularly for passengers with special needs. This is an extract of the full Account previously submitted and ignored whilst directing me around in three separate applications but all for the wrong place so I have copied an outline to save me another hour of forms and another useless journey Yours sincerely Susannah Ohanlon 07988088568- Malaga-Exeter

First off I made a claim earlier but I made a mistake with the date and was unable to change it so you can delete that. The airline was so heavily delayed for such a short flight it was insane. We were in the plane for so many hours without food or water before take off, with a small child. At baggage claim they lost our stroller and the claim line was way too big to file. a claim after traveling for an entire day. The baby was not having it, so we had to go. Booking Reference EHL32S disappeared from App & E-Mails
We booked and paid for flights at the end of April 2024, and payment of Β£400.92 was debited from our bank account by your airline on 2 May 2024. We received a confirmation e-mail and booking reference EHL32S. Flight details were: London Stansted to Toulouse, departing Thursday 1st August 2024 at 18:55hrs, and returning Thursday 8th August 2024 at 22:45hrs. All of the flight details were confirmed and loaded up onto my Airline App on iPhone. However, on arrival at Stansted, the flight details disappeared from my App, and all confirmation e-mails also disappeared from my e-mail address. We had to visit the Airline's Help Desk at Stansted, and a representative had to locate our booking on a master system, using the booking reference EHL32S. We were issued paper boarding cards, and the representative explained that we could proceed, but we would need to carry out the same process for our return flight from Toulouse. We checked-in our bags, and cleared security. The flight was delayed approximately 2 hours, but we eventually arrived in Toulouse. On 8th August, we had to go to the airport early to resolve the same problem, no record of our confirmed booking, however a help-desk at Toulouse found our booking reference and provided us with a paper confirmation from a master system, which we presented to the Airline check-in desk. An Airline representative explained that this should not have happened, and there was a serious unexplained problem with our booing and App. The representative kindly issued us paper boarding passes and we proceeded through security. Again the flight was delayed approximately 2 hours. The reason for my complaint is that my booing disappeared from the App, and all e-mails disappeared. I would therefore like to report a potential fault with the booking system, which crashed on the day of travel, despite the fact that we had booked months ago, paid for the seats (confirmed as Seat 06A and 06B for both outbound and return flights). Flight delays were disappointing, but the main cause for concern was the complete disappearance of our booking, which we needed specialist help and support at each airport to resolve. This caused quite a bit of stress, as we were due to attend a family wedding in France the following day.- London-Toulouse

No reason given
We should have arrived at 8:10 AM CEST and we arrived at 14:42 PM CEST. At 04:21 AM EEST I received the email informing me that the flight will leave at the estimated time of 09:00 AM EEST without further explanations. However, we checked and noticed that the aircraft we were supposed to fly with left earlier (05:02 AM EEST according to flightradar24), so it is theoretically impossible to return until 09:00 AM EEST. A new email announcing a new departure time, namely 13:30 PM EEST, was received at 07:50 AM EEST. If it had been a technical failure, then the aircraft should not have left at 05:02 AM EEST, and if the technical failure was detected when the aircraft landed at 07:50 AM CEST in Italy, then even without the failure we would not have how to reach the destination with less than 3 hours compared to the initially scheduled time. I flew from Manchester with Ryanair with my 9 year old daughter, i queued up for the self bag check-in, there was one man telling me to go to the machine, the machine was difficult to use the barcode would not scan and I could see others struggling as well. Eventually after around 5 minutes the barcode scanned, there were loads of stickers i stuck them to the suitcase and my passport hoping this was correct! I then entered a queue for bag drop which I was in for 15mins.I got to the front and the lady said I was in the wrong queue as I had a soft bag and needed to enter the next queue, so i went to the back of the next queue, another 15mins wait, i got to the desk to be told I am in the wrong queue I need to go back to the one i have just come from. I obviously refused to join the back of the queue I had come from as I had now queued for 30mins to be told to go back to where I started! The man said its because the lady thought i needed to have the bag checked due to it being soft but he said it didn't need to be checked.he took a photo of my bag and sent it through with him.so why was he sending me back to the other queue when he could have just taken it from me anyway. This obviously caused me a lot of stress as a single parent travelling with a young child which is stressful in itself, and all this was before I had even got to security, which is always stressful. This is not right and staff need to be educated on which bag to allow through but to also allow customers to be at the front of the queue if in the wrong queue when they make it to the front as its not our fault, its the staff that should see this in the queue and redirect so we do not queue the whole time to the front. Really disappointed with Ryanair..- Manchester-Tenerife

Refused to allow car seat on board despite paying for seat
I am absolutely disgusted at the treatment I received on a flight from Manchester to Shannon airport, on Thursday 8th August. I was travelling alone with a 3 year old and a 12 week old baby. I had researched before flying and confirmed on the Ryanair website it was possible for me to take a car seat on board, providing it adhered to the criteria on the website and I booked an extra seat (of which both were done). I rang customer services TWICE before flying and also verbally confirmed it was ok to bring a car seat for the baby and the baby could stay in the car seat the duration of the flight. Of course on the flight I was told by the cabin crew I had to put the seat in the overhead lockers or it had to be put in the hold, and my baby could not sit in the seat and I should not have brought it on board as it wasnβt allowed. It is written in black and white on the website, Iβd purposely bought and extra seat for this exact reason, and I had confirmed I was ok to do so via customer services. This made an already stressful experience of travelling alone with 2 very young children unnecessarily worse, I was made to feel like I was doing something wrong and the whole experience was awful.

Unprofessional conduct
My pregnant wife and I were flying on flight RK 1203 from Palma. When we reached the gate, I approached the two staff members and asked if they could let her go through first. They refused, stating that only those with priority boarding could go ahead. We were left to join the regular line. When we finally got to the front, I asked the male staff member if he had noticed that my wife was pregnant. Instead of acknowledging this, he asked, "Do you have a fit-to-fly certificate?" I was taken abackβhow does having a certificate affect the basic human decency of helping someone in need? It's common courtesy to allow a pregnant woman to go through first, as she might be tired or experiencing discomfort. Or have people completely lost their sense of humanity?- Palma de Mallorca-London
