This claim should be merged with claim #293357 because we are a family of four, but purchased our RyanAir tickets separately on the same flight. The costs of transfer to hotel, hotel, food are not included here, but are included only in claim #293357. This claim only includes RyanAir ticket cost, and also alternative flight ticket cost for two people. Also, this claim should not add costs for Popa Adrian (I noticed it was added by default), but only for Popa Irina and Popa Matei Andrei. Popa Adrian bought all the tickets on RyanAir, this is why the claim is done in this name. We are a family of four, returning from Paris to Bucharest. We bought our RyanAir tickets separated - there are two reservations on the same flight: LFRYJL for Popa Adrian and Popa Teodor Costin, and UMFKUW for Popa Irina and Popa Matei Andrei. The costs for the alternate return flight and overnight accomodation/transport to the hotel have been made for 4 persons, even though the RyanAir tickets were booked in 2 reservations. We arrived at Beauvais Airport on time, went through security clearance on time, and then we were delayed on the runway, waiting to board the plane, in the sun, for about 30 minutes. We were returned to the airport for about 15 minutes and told by the staff that the replacement crew was not complete - they were waiting for somebody. After this we boarded the plane and waited for about 1h30 in the plane (we were already delayed). We received a message that we had a 4€ voucher each for food that we could use in the airport because we were delayed. The pilot announced that they were delayed, and we'd take off around 18:00, then around 20:00. At the last call the pilot announced that the flight was canceled and asked us to disembark. This was around 19:00. We were returned to the airport terminal and left without information, waiting in queue to get to talk to an airport representative. Calling RyanAir support hotline got us nowhere - there was no human to talk to. The Airport staff only handed out a piece of paper with the European directive 261/2004, without other help. If we tried to reschedule the flight with the RyanAir app, the next available flight was 7 days away (on July 3rd). This was not an option, having kids with us, so we had to buy other tickets (the cheapest we could find were the following day), and to buy accomodation for one night (we chose to return to the hotel we knew in Paris, because the new flight was from CDG Airport anyway). The kids were alarmed and worried that we wouldn't arrive home. We had to change our plans as well, and get an extra day of vacation from work. Thank you.

I'll open a new claim for the other two people in my party, because they have a different boarding pass (UMFKUW ), but I won't include transfer/hotel fees (but will include flight costs), because they are included in this claim. Perhaps you can bundle them together in one claim (the interface didn't let me). Thank you.

On the 23rd of July my family and I were scheduled to fly to Morocco for a week long trip. However upon reaching the boarding gates,I was informed by the flight attendant that I couldn't board due to my passport expiring next month on the 21st. Regrettably, this misunderstanding led to my exclusion from the flight, causing distress and inconvenience. It later came to light that the restriction regarding passport validity applied to trips exceeding ten days, whereas my travel duration was only seven days. While my sister and mother were en route back, they encountered another family who faced a similar predicament of being denied boarding due to their passport's imminent expiration, akin to my situation. This resulted in their exclusion from the flight. However, upon elucidating the circumstances, they were informed that this regulation was applicable only for journeys exceeding a ten-day duration. Subsequently, they were accommodated on the subsequent flight.

First of all I am 27 weeks pregnant with varicose veins on my feet and not allowed to stay for a long time seated. Due to some lost items from our departure flight on the 20th of July 2024 London Stansted to Thessaloniki I had to arrive 1 hour early to check at the department and they told me the items are not founded. I had to stay long time at the airport with 2 kids (5 and 1 year old ) my toddler one got bitten by an insect and her feet been swallowed for more than 12 hours. The flight delayed 3 hours which made my condition worse and swollen feet . When we arrived I was trying to stand up and had blurry vision, double vision for around an hour. Tried to find some member of staff for help during the way to passport check but none showed up so had to take some sweet to fix my sugar level and finally found water out at the passport control. Not even a toilet on all the way there . Still not feeling well due to the exhausted trip time I had . Hope my baby is well and nothing bad affects my pregnancy as everything was out of plan. I chose to travel to Thessaloniki as it was a short trip up to 3 hours which I was allowed to do so. But double it the time as pregnant lady with 2 other kids that’s was too much. I had the worst experience ever with Ryanair this time. And to mention on the 20th of July on our way to Greece one of the Board members at the gate treated me so bad and un respectful. I was trying to do a compliment for her too. She made me pay for my under seat child bag pretending it was big even though it fits on the checked box by Ryanair. Forced me to leave the bag there if not paid or she won’t let me fly and to be more mean to me she asked me for a fit fly form even though I was 25 weeks than and the check in desk had seen it already and said is not necessary. I was not treated as a prior and respected as pregnant but made me have more stress and pressure of worries to loose my flight . I wish never chooses this again as airline

I’m sending you this email as I’m absolutely appalled by your customer service !! I was flying with yourself from Cardiff flight number SJWU2P…. As I was going through the gate the lady said I couldn’t take my drink with me,which no problem at all I give my drink to the lady !! I was sitting there waiting to board my flight which i forgot to take my medication,so I went up and took my drink to take my medication !! One of your staff came over to me and asked me for my passport and said I wouldn’t be allowed on the flight as I was told I couldn’t take my drink,I couldn’t even explain to the lady that I just wanted to take my medication ,she wouldn’t have any off it !! She was so rude and abrupt ! I’ve never felt so embarrassed in all my life. She would not let me on the flight with my freind !!! I’m absolutely disgusted and would like compensation as I had to have a taxi etc and pay for separate flights from Bristol airport !!! I’m so upset as I’ve missed a whole day off my holiday I’m saddened off how I’ve been treated. It’s caused me so much stress and upset !

- Airline:Β Ryanair - Flight Number:Β FR8719 - Route:Β Stansted (STN) to Malpensa (MXP) - Scheduled Departure:Β 16:25 - Scheduled Arrival:Β 19:25 On the 19th of July 2024, I arrived at Stansted Airport well ahead of my scheduled flight FR8719 from Stansted to Malpensa. Upon arrival, I was met with complete chaos due to an IT outage affecting Ryanair's operations. The scene was disorganized, with multiple long queues forming throughout the airport. Arrival and Queuing - I was directed to join a queue to check in for my Ryanair flight. This queue was extremely long, approximately double the length of Stansted Airport. - The airport provided bottled water to passengers waiting in line, which was appreciated given the long wait times. - While waiting in the queue, Ryanair staff asked passengers about their flight numbers, informing and assuring us that our flights were going ahead as scheduled. - A fellow passenger inquired if we would make our flight on time, and the Ryanair representative assured us that they would pull passengers from the queue when necessary to ensure we made our flights (i.e., for check-in, baggage drop, and security clearance). This assurance turned out to be false. - As my flight time approached, I noticed that passengers ahead of me in the queue were denied check-in despite their imminent flight departures. They were instructed to return to the queue. - Fearing I would miss my flight, I left the queue and approached the front to request immediate check-in. I was denied and told to return to the queue. - Ultimately, I was informed that I could not check in on time and thus could not board my flight. A large crowd had gathered at the front, many of whom had not previously queued, contributing further to the disorder. - There was no enforcement of the queues by Ryanair representatives, leading to significant pushing and queue-jumping adding to the chaos. - Alongside other passengers in the same situation, I approached a Ryanair representative who instructed me to screenshot my flight details from the Ryanair app and visit customer service for a refund. - Customer service advised to select an option from their refund policy page. However, none of the options applied to my situation since I was not allowed to check in, and the flight departed on time without me. - I had to buy a train ticket back home and another flight to get to my destination and train ticket to get to the airport from home. - I missed out on 2 nights of prebooked accommodation and also had to pay unnecessary travel costs to get to my prebooked accommodation, and since it was a Sunday when I arrived at Malpensa airport, travel was limited compared to if I arrived when I was supposed to, on Friday. - I arrived at my destination (MXP) Sunday 21 July 2024 09:00. Current Status: - I have been unable to secure a refund or appropriate compensation from Ryanair customer service, who have been unhelpful and have not suggested any further steps to resolve my issue. I am seeking a full refund for my missed flight FR8719 and compensation for the inconvenience caused by the IT outage and the poor management by Ryanair representatives at Stansted Airport. Despite arriving on time and following the instructions given by Ryanair staff, I was unable to board my flight due to the lack of proper queue management and misleading assurances provided by the staff.

Flight got delayed from 2200 tot 2345. We later got informed that due to a 2400 airport curfew the flight got completely cancelled. I've now taken them on an alternative flight from Weeze to Zagreb instead of the original itinerary; which means a delay of at least 3 days. The drive from my place to the airport took 3 hours. So that has meant I've spent 6 hours to ans from the airport, also racking up significant fuel costs. Moreover, I was not able to cancel my hotel reservation because of the unfortunate timing of the flight.

All round shocking

After paying extortionate price's for flight's for a group of travellers, we can't take luggage bigger than a handbag on without paying more money, can't sit together without paying more money and get allocated seat's no where near to each other when seating together was possible. Whole system of entering passenger details was shocking and confusing, over an hour to do. I will NEVER fly with Ryanair ever again, absolutely disgraceful. Hopefully your pilot's are more competent than the bosses and don't crash and kill us.

Technical problems

The total delay was 7 hours instead of leaving at 14.00 we left at 22.00, instead of arrive at 16.00 we landed at 00.15 on the 20/07/2024. A very stressful time for a family with 2 girls of 3 and 6 years of age. I had to stay in a queue for 3 hours to deposit the 20 kgs case. The airline did not provide any care/compensation. Due to this delay we had delays in the taxi and the ferry to be able to arrive to Gozo only at 3.00 am. This also ruined the day after since everyone was very tired due to the lack of sleep.

Our flight to malaga was due to leave at 2045, when we got to the airport it was delayed till 2345. We then went for something to eat ,about 1 and half hour later it was delayed again till 2430. They gave us €4 food voucher each ,but at that stage we had already eaten plus some of the eateries were closed. Also you cannot get much in the airport for €4. By the time we got to malaga it was time for bed which also ended up loosing half of our first day of holiday .

Checked in baggage -shannon

Hi, I logged into the Ryanair app to check in online for my family and I for our family holiday flight to Marseille on 6th Aug. When I was checking in it showed up that I had to pay for checked in bags , I didn’t realise I had already paid and because this screen came up I thought I had to pay. So I paid for 2 checked in 20kg for myself and my husband. Then I got an error message to say payment had not gone through and to put it through again. So I did and I was charged twice. However when I got my boarding passes I realised that both myself and my husband had 3 checked in 20kg bags. I spent 30 mins waiting in line on the Customer services call where they said there was nothing that can be done as checked in bags cannot be removed or fees refunded. This is a disgrace. Firstly the fact that the screen came up made me think I hadn’t been paid, this should not have come up. Secondly when I got the error message to put the payment though again I didn’t realise payment had gone through. As a result I have 3 checked in 20 kgs for my husband and I when there should only be one 20 kg for each of us. Please can 2 extra checked in bags be removed and refund of 160 put through ? Kind regards Leona McCarthy

We have just returned from the above holiday and unfortunately there were some significant issues that we would like to bring to your attention and gain answers for, in the hope that other travellers do not experience the same problems. We detail below the relevant points. - As we boarded the plane, we were informed that my son, who is 15 years old may not have a seat. Given that I purchased the flights nearly a year prior and nothing was highlighted as a risk at the time of booking or checking in, this was completely unexpected. - Having waited for everyone to board the flight was informed that my son was unable to stay on the flight and would have a seat on the next available one. This not only caused stress and anxiety to myself and my son but also to my 7 year olddaughter who became distressed thinking we were not going to be able to go. - After a period of time in β€˜discussion’ with the crew I had to make a decision to either leave my son on his own, which is too much responsibility for a15 year old, or allow my children to leave on the flight without me.Or our holiday would be cancelled for all of us. Thankfully my friend was travelling with us so they were not alone however the emotional and mental distress and anxiety that this has caused us all and still gives my daughter issues when I have to leave her including school drop off is completely unacceptable. - I was left in the airport for a period of 3 hours without communication as to when the next flight would be to receive an update that I would be travelling from Birmingham. - I had to travel on my own for a period of 3 hours with no regard for my safety or welfare. Given I suffer with anxiety again where is the care and compassion this shouldn’t be happening. - Before leaving the airport I had asked about the return journey to ensure that this wouldn’t be the case but the crew were unable to provide me with any information which caused the trip to be filled with additional stress and worry in case the same situation arouse. When arriving in Bva airport I then had to pay 200 euros for my transfer as I had missed my transfer which my children still had to get the previous night. That also caused a lot of worry and distress as I was on my own and vulnerable. - I missed the first night im the Airbnb that I had paid for and the first day im Disney land with my family due to the sheer incompetence of the booking processes that the airline use. - On the way home the security staff were extremely rudeand my daughter had all of her new toys snatched away – whilst this isn’t Ryanair staff it added further distress to the holiday. I would like the following questions answered please: 1. Why is the process in place for overbooking of flights to be allowed? 2. What is the process for deciding who misses the flight? I would like a copy of this policy / process please. 3. In the policy / process is there anything that protects families or minors to prevent situations like this occurring? 4. What is in place for any future bookings I may make with the company to ensure that myself and my familyare not in the same situation.

Filthy disgusting plane

Agadir to lisbon on 7/31 at 3:03 pm, flight FR184. I got on a flight and there was a dirty tissue with visible green slimy snot on it in my seat. I informed the male stewardess of the situation and he dismissed me. He also kept his name tag hidden by inserting it on his chest pocket. Another passenger in seat 26B complained of the filth. The same male stewardess repeatedly stated, β€œand what do you want me to do about it.” He pointed to a female stewardess who was too busy to help clean the area at one point when I kept expressing concern. I seem to have gotten more respect than the black individual on the plane, which is upsetting that they would treat someone different based on color. The rest of the seats around me were also filthy. Here are some photos attached. I feel contaminated and i was not allowed to depart the flight. I want 100% refund for this experience and if I become sick from a strangers excrement on my seat, I request my physician or hospital visits to be fully covered by Ryanair. If ryanair does not offer me the refund then I will continue to post this complaint to as many platforms as possible to warn the public or racism and risk of illness on ryanair flights.

Strike

Good afternoon, we arrived 3 hours early as requested to allow for security through the airport, it only took 15 to get through. We had checked that that our flight was not affected by the software update before we arrived and were told it was not. We proceeded to the gate and were notified there was a one hour delay and the gate number changed. The gate staff started to allow boarding at around 10pm, we were waiting in the stairwell, which was extremely hot and uncomfortable for approx 20 minutes before being told to leave the area as the flight continued to be delayed. Staff confirmed to us at this point that the flight crew had gone out of hours and that we either needed to wait for another crew, wait for the crew to have an appropriate break or the flight would be cancelled. We were called to board for a second time and spent another 30 minutes waiting in the cramped, hot, unventilated stairwell leading out to the runway. The pilots and crew finally started arriving at around 11pm however it still took an hour to board and leave. I do not understand how boarding commenced the first time if the pilots and crew had timed out, that should have already have been known. The second boarding procedure should not have been started as 3 of the crew members were not yet on board, the boarding/gate crew new that the conditions in the stairwell/tunnel were extreme and should not have allowed entry into the stairwell until the doors to the flight (or out onto the tarmac) were ready. We were due to arrive at our final destination at 1am, we lost a full day of holiday as did not arrive at our hotel until 5:30am on Saturday 20th at which point we were exhausted and had to sleep. I have filled in the Eu261 claim for compensation through the app and the claim was rejected on the grounds that the flight delay was due to the software update. That was not the case and so I'd appreciate the details being checked properly and the compensation to be paid. I assume that the crew logs and reports will clearly show that the delay was not simply caused by the software update on this occasion. Kind Regards

I was returning from a very lovely trip on Sunday 28th July (Limoges) i only had my ruck sack so nothing to check in, got to the gate and the lady on the boarding desk told me i had to pay 60 euros for my ruck sack i asked why i had brought it out and it wasnt over weight or too large, she then SCREAMED at me in front of all the others queuing for our flight, IT MUST BE CHECKED IN you need to pay 60EUROS a lady behind tried to help but she then also got screamed at as well, i said i don't expect to be spoken to in that tone or manor as i would not scream at my customers, she then demanded my credit card or my ruck sack would be left in the airport, i had no credit card so then has to call my bank it was all very upsetting especially as i knew my bag as indeed fine to travel FOC, why this person thought she could speak to your customers this way i dont know but she is lacking in any basic customer service skills and was a disgrace to Ryanair uniform! We were then filed into a tent where a young girl next to me fainted, the staff members did nothing for her at all, no basic first aid or H&S training and to not support this young girl (around 12 yrs old) so i gave her my water (which i had just brought for 4euros )and sat her down, then tent was over 30 degrees and yet we had been put in here knowing the plane hadn't even landed yet! I cant understand why with no cool air or water Ryanair would allow this stressful situation for their passengers? Some serious training is required god help anyone if there is a serious issue and Ryanair needs to support its customers. I also want a full refund back for my bag!

I was told my bag was too big. I told them I've used it numerous times and it is the correct size for travelling and fits under the seat. The lady then told me the gates are closed now you can't get on the flight. When I was there ages before the flight

Arrived at hotel at 4:45am Airline didn’t tell us anything other than sending a Β£3 voucher for airport, screens in airport with gates displayed β€œdelayed” and kept changing the delay time back and back Delay interrupted first day of holiday as I was very tired due to not being in bed to nearly 5am the night before. Also had an event booked for the first night we arrived which couldn’t attend as flight was delayed Taxi which was prebooked to transfer from airport to hotel also had to be cancelled and as it was prepaid we lost €73 and had to then get an airport bus

Don't remember

Passengers are informed that the flight delay was due to the longer service time of the aircraft in UK, the flight departed late. We arrived at London Stansted at 8:06 pm, where i received mobile carrier SMS. We reached at Hotel at 9:30 pm. We have lost the whole afternoon in London just because to wait for the flight in Memmingen airport. Ryanair has provided free snacks while waiting at the airport.

Strike

We arrived 3 hours early as requested to allow for security through the airport, it only took 15 to get through. I assume that the crew logs and reports will clearly show that the delay was not simply caused by the software update on this occasion

Poor service and Delay in flight at Bologna airport, Italy.

By the time the flight took off it has been delayed by 2 hours, I had to switch gates 3 times, had to miss my reservations in the destination country, but the biggest complaint in the way the staff treated when there was a issue with my baggage, I understand that my backpack exceeded the max limit, even though I have travelled with the same backpack multiple times with Ryanair and even in the flight earlier today, and there was no issues raised by the staff. Because of these experiences I always carry this backpack to not face any problems. When the staff asked me to pay additional fee for the backpack I agreed, if the card is not being accepted in your system, its not my fault, I gave an alternative and even that didn’t work, so it was not a problem from my end, but according to the staff I was not approving the payment and that I don’t know how to use the application, Seriously!! First you make just wait, run around the airport, raise problems with the luggage which no other airport staff had ever had issue with, and then to claim that I am not approving the payment, while all along she was not entering the details right, when she entered the details while I was cross checking the payment went through in the first attempt, what does that say. Honestly it was a insult to me, I am a regular user of this airline and I travel every 2-3 months, but after this experience I would rather pay a little more and go with other airlines.

Technical problems

The flight departure originally scheduled for 6:05am was delayed up to the following day . The latest announced estimated departure was 00:30 on 19/07/2024 and in effect further delays occurred, causing the flight to depart at 2:00am. There was no representative of Ryanair to give us any support. We were all passengers left on our own to nake last minute decisions on how best to spend the time while waiting for the new estimated departure.

Disruptive, rude behaviour causing discomfort!

Dear Ryanair Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent flight with Ryanair. Below are the details of the flight: Flight Number: BQFH7H Route: Manchester to Bratislava Scheduled Departure Time: 5:30 PM Actual Departure Time: 6:10 PM Upon boarding the aircraft, I discovered that my assigned seat, 19F, was occupied by two individuals who acted as if they did not speak English or Slovak. They not only occupied my seat but also forced another passenger seated in 19D to move to 20E. These individuals were extremely disruptive throughout the flight, shouting, singing, and displaying rude behaviour, including putting their feet up. Despite their behaviour, the cabin crew did not take any action until I expressed my discomfort and fear due to their actions. I appreciate being moved to another seat for the last 30 minutes of the flight, but this experience left me feeling uneasy and unsafe for the majority of the journey. I paid for my specific seat and expect to be able to sit in it without being forced to move due to the unruly behaviour of other passengers. I request a full investigation into this incident and would appreciate a response outlining what measures Ryanair will take to ensure this does not happen again.

Awful staff and attitude

never complained about anything in my life but i fell like I have to with this one, we where travelling with use on Sunday 28th flight time was 5.10pm, my 3 year old son had to use the toilet , so I took him down the back to wear ALL the staff was just sitting there and talking as they did the whole flight passengers on the flight spend the whole time down the back aswell with the staff even when the seatbelt sign was on , my wee boy started to cry and jump around shouting he really needed to toilet the staff all seen him, once one of the toilets came free I went to open the door to take him as he was distressed about using the toilet one of ur staff members put his hand in front of us and told us to wait as he went on into the toilet and my wee boy ended up getting sick all over the back of the plane, I then looked up and asked the staff for a bag as he was gonna get sick again to which they didn't and just stood and watched , once I got him back down to the seat I asked a girl for a sick bag and she replied "what" very rude back to us, there was 17 of us flying and we are all disgusted with the staff very shameful , if the staff member would of let us use the toilet this wouldn't of happened , the staff on that flight was very very slack

STOLEN JEWELRY

Hi my name is Amber Whitsett on todays fight 07/29/2024 on the flight back from Barcelona, Flight number FR2834 and Reference YJUSJI. I checked my luggage in at RYANAIR counter Barcelona and all my jewelry was inside my check in luggage. When I get home and unpacked I noticed all my jewelry was taken out of my small red jewelry box and another red jewelry box was taken as well. The total amount of jewelry was worth $4000 USD. This totally unacceptable to me as customer have one of your employee is to go inside my personal luggage and steal all my valuables.

The flight was marked as delayed with no new estimated time provided for boarding and no information provided on the reason for the delay until over 3 hours past our initial flight time. Minimal communication was received from the airline during this time, no duty of care to the passengers for a couple of hours until an email was sent out 3 hours past our original flight time with information on re-booking a flight for the next day or from alternative airports. After midnight in Stansted, this left me in a predicament of getting to an alternative airport and finding a place to stay for the night. As someone out of a job at the time, you can only imagine how stressful this was and given that I had caught the first flight out that day, being up for nearly 24 hours had adverse effects on me that lasted a few days after the delay. Furthermore I had paid €50 to be issued a boarding pass given that I had just missed the 2-hour check-in deadline only for my flight to be delayed by such a significant amount of time - this was not refunded which I believe should have been. The flight eventually landed at 2:40am the following morning.
