Your Asiana Airlines Passenger Rights

While Asiana Airlines is based in Korea, they still fly to other regions including the EU, UK, and US. Because of this, you can expect the airline to abide by the passenger rights regulations for your departure country.

If you’re departing from the EU or UK, you will be protected by EU261 and UK261, whereas if you are flying from the US, you will be protected by US air passenger rights.

If you happen to have a delay or cancellation in Europe or the UK, you could be eligible for up to £520/€600 if you arrive 3+ hours late or your flight was canceled less than 14 days before departure.

For baggage loss, delay or damage, your rights are protected by the Montreal Convention. The rules of this international treaty state that Asiana Airlines must provide up to €1,920/roughly £1,614 in reimbursement and compensation if your belongings are mishandled..

How to Contact Asiana Airlines by Phone

Most airlines prefer that you contact them via chat or by filling in their online forms, but sometimes you just have to talk to someone directly. This is especially true when you need immediate assistance for flight disruptions.

The downside is that you might have very long wait times! This being the case, it’s always best to collect all the important details about your flight before you call. Also, be aware that fees may apply depending on where you’re calling.

Hotel offered by airline for having to stay an unexpected night in Seoul while being put on the next flight. Process was quite long and not overly helpful, employees in both airport and airline very unhelpful and didn't seem to know what was going on.
