Problems at airport

I arrived at my final destination the following day at 12:45 on a WizzAir flight (189.45 EUR) at over double the price that I had initially booked with Dan Air (79.30 EUR). Dan Air's official reason for flight cancellation: "Due to a bird strike on departure form Bucharest (OTP) this evening, we are forced to cancel your flight.". I was informed at 22:30 the previous day, less than 24 hours before the scheduled flight (at 21:15 the following day). The airline only provided a full refund for the ticket price (79.30 EUR), but no consideration was made for the extra costs incurred by booking an alternative flight the following day (

We were told to get off the plane because of some technical problems. We were told every hour that the flight is delayed. After waiting for 6 hours in the airport, they sent a cancellation email. We weren't offered another flight or a rescheduled one. We weren't offered a place were to sleep that night either. The airline didn't tell us anything and also they didn't respond the emergency phone line. The company gave us only a small water bottle and a bag of chips per person for the whole time.

We were asked to get off the plane because of technical problems and every hour we were told that the plane is delayed. After waiting for 6 hours in the airport, at 10:30 pm we received a cancellation email. We weren't offered any alternative flight or a reschedule one, also we weren't offered a place where to sleep that night. The airline didn't answer emergency phone number also Inconvenience because I had to make a small child under 5 to wait 6 hours in the airport and couldn't make new arrangements for the new flight only a few days after. Had to take extra holidays from work The company offered a bag of chips and a small water bottle for the whole 6 hours of waiting.

This trip was the first leg of the palnned journey from Bacau to Stockholm (change in Rome). Dan Air notified me in the afternoon of 24th June that the flight for 1st of July was cancelled. They said it was due to aircraft maintenance works that have been delayed, due to a shortage of specialized personnel. They offered a day early, but I was in another trip. Because of the new travel arrangements I had to: - break my previous flight early at the stop-over in Milan - change my ticket and fly from Milan instead of Rome (extra cost of EUR 119) - had an extra night in hotel in Stockholm (30thJune to 1st of July)

The night before the flight, I received an email from the company DanAir informing me that the flight scheduled for Friday morning would be postponed to the evening of the same day. Then, after many hours, I was informed that the flight was postponed to the following day. In the meantime, I contacted them and told them that I would be traveling with another airline and that I wanted a refund for the ticket I had purchased. In the meantime, I took another flight from a different London airport, and the costs were much higher, while the stress and fatigue were at their peak, as I had a baptism to attend with my family event in Brasov, Romania.

I am writing to request compensation for the significant inconvenience I experienced due to a delay on my flight scheduled to depart at 21:35 on July 22. The flight was delayed until 3:00 the next morning, resulting in an extended delay of 5 hours and 25 minutes. During this delay, I faced several challenges at Luton Airport. The shops and food outlets were closed, leaving me without access to food or refreshments. Additionally, there were no available places to relax or go outside for a breath of fresh air. Consequently, I had to endure a long and uncomfortable wait without adequate amenities. Furthermore, my parents were scheduled to collect me upon arrival. Due to the delay, they were unable to come to the airport the following day, which forced me to take a taxi to my final destination. This added an unexpected expense to the inconvenience caused by the delay. Given these circumstances, I kindly request compensation for the delay and the additional costs incurred.
