Your Rights as a Czech Airlines Passenger

Because they are based in the Czech Republic, CSA is bound by the rules found in Regulation EU261. These rules force airlines to compensate you between €250 and €600 for flights delayed by a minimum of 3 hours at your final stop. You can also get compensation if your flight was cancelled, and you were given less than 2 weeks notice.

We were supposed to travel on a short flight to Paris with our kids. We ended up delayed 6 hours! The airline provided I believe a couple 10 euro vouchers for airport food. We arrived after midnight instead of at 2:15pm, meaning we missed the whole first day. Kids were hungry and tired. Service was awful. There WAS NO WEATHER PROBLEM. I tried to claim compensation after, and was written in SLOVAK (I do speak Czech) and sent only a voucher, for 1 person. I told them I did not want a voucher, that my family does not even live in Czech Republic. They never responded or helped me. I cannot find this voucher now, was never used. We spent an additional 65 euros on a taxi, since we could not use public transport to get into town so late at night. And we had to eat an expensive dinner at the hotel (Mama Shelter) since it was the only thing around open.

Weather conditions

The flight was heavily delayed due to bad weather conditions. We were planned to fly out at 9 00, but actually flew at 14 00 approximately. We lost half of the day we planned at Prague.
