Unsatisfactory customer service and care
I was travelling with my 12 year old daughter, friend and her 3 children aged 15, 12 and 6. We had our seats allocated which we couldnβt sit in because they had given our children emergency exit seating. Therefore we sat infront of a man travelling alone who was seen taking cocaine infront of our eyes. We felt unsafe and children was scared. The man was not told to move. We had to continue sitting infront of him. He continued to take his drugs. I feel this is completely unacceptable. My childβs safety should have been put first. My child did not want to fly home incase the βscaryβ man was on the plane again. The gentleman was told off by the stewards but that did not stop him. He should have been moved away from others travelling. We had to wait when we landed for the police to come. Iβm totally shocked and will never want to fly again with RyanAir. On our journey home we had problems with our seating again and the hostess asked me rudely what the problem was with my 12 year old sat on her own. I would like to be compensated for this flight.- London-Tenerife

Unreasonable and crazy baggage charge
I have travelled numerous times on short haul flight with just hand luggage and always used the same suitcase with no issues, infact bought for a Ryan air flight. We have just been charged Β£225 for our bags being oversized! They're not, and we're not even in a Ryan air plane. We were told they would need to go in the hold... Got to the plane and we're told they would be fine on board with us and there were some with larger bags. We can't afford much and have been saving for this holiday for a long time, Β£225 takes our spending money and leaves us with a ruined holiday. How this is acceptable is beyond me. Β£75 per suitcase when the baggage itself is only Β£35 is stupid. If it was obviously not hand luggage sized then of course but when it is the tiniest margin over surely there should at least be a lower charge? Β£20 maybe, especially since they are sold as hand luggage bags ... Absolutely ridiculous and customer service was absolutely atrocious. I have anxiety and have had an anxiety attack dealing with this, flying is hard enough without this treatment.- Leeds-Krakow

Technical problems
The flight was delayed but after 3-4 hours we took off and arrived at Bergamo where we had to stay in the airport over night because we had lost the connection flight to arrive in Cluj Napoca. we had to buy other ticktes for the next day. After exhausting 7 hours at the airport and several sequential delays announced by Ryanair, our flight was canceled. We were offered a flight on Wednesday - three days after our original flight. We had to go back to work and our commitments for Monday and we couldn't afford to stay longer in the Netherlands. Hence, our using the services of Ryanair. We had no option but find our way to Amsterdam and look for the first possible flight. Without a hotel and anyone we can stay with, we had to spend the night at the airport. The tickets we had to purchase are significantly more expensive than Rynair. Thank you- Πindhoven-Sofia

The planned departure time was 20:55, the real departure time was 00:07, the original arival time was 22:15, I lended at 1:15, and having videos to proof by this time we were still in the airplane. When trying to request at the Ryan Air portal, the automatic online form of the airline said it was caused by Air traffic Control Disruption, but I dont believe since the local airport team said it was caused by delayed in the airport from where the flight was coming, and after the flight lended, 2h later from the original plan, it took still more than 1h for us to board and depart.- Dubrovnik-Vienna

unprofessional-rude behaviour re:prepaid luggage at check-in
First time on Ryanair, we made honest mistake and took prepaid luggage with early check-in boarding passes to the gate. We honestly failed to read the small print that the prepaid carry on had to be left at the check in. We travelled with two children, there was no time to run back to check in with the luggage and no time to switch to priority check in at the gate. The gate staff (Vanesa) treated this situation unprofessionally, rudely, with pleasure proposed: we can leave our full luggage behind or not travel. We emptied two Samsonite suitcases at the gate and what we could we placed into small carry on. Airline refused to transport suitcases full or empty without asking us to pay double the cost of the passenger air ticket. Vanesa finally took the empty suitcases (she was the last person to physically handle them at the gate) and told us to look for them at βreklamaceβ upon our return to Prague. Suitcases were nowhere to be found today, Nov 3, upon return. Airport officer told us that they were likely destroyed by the airline. We admit our innocent mistake and consider the outcome and options to be very harsh on a family travelling with children on school vacation. Moreover, the staff employed by Ryanair was clearly dealing with this issue before, and they treated it with pleasure as a difficulty they would not resolve, would not want to help the customer, refused our want to speak with a higher placed manager. This was a technicality of procedure easily resolved with an exception handling: we had prepaid luggage with carry on size not checked at check in but would fit above or could be checked at the gate. Most major airlines handle this well. We ask for the following compensation: 1) two carry on samsonite or their equivalent in form of travel or luggage voucher 2) refund of the two prepaid checked bags that were not transported by the airline 3) apology from the airline for the unprofessional behaviour of Vanesa at the Prague gate (Vanesaβs photo is attached here). As she took our suitcases away, but not to be transported by the airline, we do not have any record, except the prepayment of two pieces of luggage on boarding passes from Prague. We show two new pieces of luggage purchased in Milano to travel back. Now we knew how to check them at check in.- Prague-Bergamo

Wrongly charged two small bags and rudeness
Flight number: LTWS9U. OPO Porto to London Stansted. Charmaine Hutchinson Dear Sir / Madam , On the 02/11/2024 I checked your luggage sizes on your website, I even spoke to Karolina Cracow ,Poland, on the 23/10/ 2024 using the online chat to verify the luggage sizes before I traveled. Please see attached screenshot of the conversation email. This is my first trip with Ryanair. I brought the right size travelling bags for my flight. I departed from the U.K with my bags and it was fine just to be told , on the way back from Porto, that I would have to pay for the same bags. Please see the size of my bags in the attached image. I was charged for the flowing bags . I said to the Checking Agent staff that I am going to make a complaint, she said βgo ahead and complain nothing will come out of itβ. Is this how your staff are trained to deal with customers? Her body language was enough to tell that she was being rude . Even when I maintained a polite tone to her she responded in a very discourteous manner. I am not using your check in staffs rudeness as an excuse but in such Modern times where customers service should be the focus point of any organisation. Staff like that put people off from travelling and give your business a bad reputation. I had to pay Β£120.00 for bags that would have fitted under the plane seat. On top of that to be insulted by your staff is appalling. I will put my experience on trust pilot and social media to let others know how Ryanair checking staff deals with their customers. In future, I will never ever travel with your airline again to be treated less than a human being. I wait your response. C Hutchinson.- Porto-London

Technical problems
As in the ticket, you can see the flight was supposed to depart at 21:20. However, it the flight got delayed first by 1 hour. Then by 2. Finally by more than 3 hours. If I remember correctly the flight left at around 01:00 after changing gates several times. It was due to technical reasons that were unexplained. It is funny how the airline provided us with a voucher of around 4 eur each that we could use to buy food or water in I think section C of the airport, but we received this only after the second delay. By that time, all vendors were closed so the voucher was useless. It was extremely bad for us as we reached Alicante at around 02, 02:15 and there was no longer any public transport and we had to rely on a taxi. Extremely inconvenient as we were already extremely tired and now we had to spend more money to get into town.- Palma de Mallorca-Alicante

No reason given
When we first received an alert through the Ryanair app that the flight was going to be delayed, it stated that the reason was because the plane that was supposed to take us wasn't there. After spending four hours at the airport, we were ushered onto the plane, where we then sat for another 50 minutes before takeoff. When we contacted the airline, they explained that the delay was due to air traffic control, which, based on the information we received, seems more like an excuse. When we finally arrived at the destination it was already night and our bus was departed. The airline didnt provide anything and it seems like they didn't care.- Bergamo-Vienna

Problems at airport
Breakdown of details: Scheduled departure time: 04/10/2024 6:40 PM Actual departure time: 04/10/2024 8:45 PM Scheduled arrival airport: Eindhoven Airport, EIN Actual arrival airport: Cologne Bonn, CGN Scheduled arrival time: 04/10/2024 8:45 PM Actual arrival time at Eindhoven Airport, EIN: 05/10/2024 2:30AM Total delay: 5 hours, 45 minutes We were not only severely delayed, but were then taken to a completely different airport and put on buses to Eindhoven. I endured poor treatment throughout this experience. During the rerouting and delay, there was almost no information provided, which left passengers feeling confused and frustrated. No food or drink was offered, not even water. Upon arriving at the deserted Eindhoven Airport at 2:30 AM, I was left to navigate my own way to my destination. As a woman traveling alone, this was especially distressing. I have tried to claim directly with Ryanair, which has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and has come to nothing. I've attached a copy of one of several attempts to contact them.- London-Eindhoven

Extra leg room at front of plane
Having paid to be seated in extra leg room, I was allocated seat 1B, my partner in 1A, Great, right at the front, extra leg room, which was paid for by my sister as p art of my 60th birthday package. However, that's where the problems started, Ha ve been hit twice by the food trolly going back and forth then the extra leg room becoming a gathering area for passengers waiting to use the toilet, having my fe et trodden on and nearly everybody barging into my shoulder whilst passing. I'm sorry but this is totally unacceptable. I believe you should be giving these seats f or free as you cannot relax in them at all. Check-in staff were obnoxious, rude and disrespectful
The 2 women checking passengers in at gate 107 had a disgraceful and quite frankly disgusting attitude. She made me check my bag to see if it fit in the little metal box, which I understood is protocol and kindly followed her to do this. She proceeded to ask me to put my bag into this box and it fit in. She then asked me to turn it around and suggested that this time it did not fit. She then aggressively said that βYouβre going to have to pay the fee, if you want to get on this flight.β Then, her colleague approached and continued with the same attitude by saying βif you want this bag on the flight you must pay the fee.β At this point, my partner and I decided to see if there were any items in the bag that stuck out that prevented it from fitting into the holder according to her opinion. We removed some items and put it into the box again and she still suggested it was still too big, when in reality this was not the case as it again fit in. There was no apology or sincerity when dealing with us as customers and they even refrained from making eye contact when taking the payment. The whole incident was intensified when it seemed to be only women who were being charged the extra fee as a male prior to me had been allowed to walk away when his bag, which was of a similar sizing to mine, was allowed to board without a fee. This feeling was mutual when it was discussed with another 2 passengers on arrival to Stansted who witnessed her doing the same thing to two other passengers. I found it absolutely disgraceful that she was basically scamming me out of β¬75 when my bag was perfectly able to fit. She was rude and obnoxious throughout the whole encounter and if she had more sincerity towards the situation then I would not have escalated this issue further. Both women were no more than 30 with one being of Asian descent.- Dublin-London

Rude Staff
The woman checking passengers in at the gate had an appalling attitude. She made my check my bag to see if it fit in the little metal box. She tried to claim it didnβt fit and immediately said I had to pay β¬60. My partner and I were taking stuff out to make it fit all the while she was saying I had to check it in and that I wasnβt allowed to board until I paid β¬60. She threatened to make a report if I didnβt pay. My partner tried again and the bag was a perfect fit. There was no apology of any kind and I was then allowed to board the flight. I witnessed her doing the same thing to two other passengers. I found it absolutely disgraceful that she was trying to scam me out of β¬60 when my bag was perfectly able to fit. She was completely unhelpful all she wanted was my money and no apology when she realised she was in the wrong. Short blonde woman.- Dublin-Edinburgh

The flight left over 40 minutes late and my seat choice to get extra leg room was a terrible choice. I was kicked, tripped on and basically felt abused. The staff at the front of the plane were equally as bad bumping into me almost at will without any apology as if this was the normal standard. The original flight was supposed toland at 10pm in Pisa. The delayed flight landed at 4am the next morning. I coudn't get to Pisa at that time, no transport would have been working at that time and no one to come collect me. I had to make a decision on two feet and decide to move my flight to the nex morning at 6am and spend the night in Stansted. I booked a motel room not too far, but still needed a taxi to get there and back. The room was dreadful, but it was the cheapest I could effort in that moment( I also had to take a last minute train to the airport as the bus I booked was cancelled!). I got at the hotel around 9pm and I had to be back at the airport at 4am. I ended up getting to my house at 11am on the 30th September, so 12h hours later than I should have. If I go there the night before I would have had a car ride home, but on the Monday morning I had to rely on transport (hence pay that too). It disrupted my work as well abviously and I missed an important call on Monday morning which I wasn't able to reschedule for another week. I contacted the airline after a few days and asked for a refund for the flight, the ticket is still open. I also tried to submit a claim for my expenses through the EU261 claim form on their website. The form didn't let me submit the request of compansation, saying it was an invalid request because the flight I chose wasn't more that 3h late. I have screenshots that show I was choosing the right flight and the error message I got. I contacted the customer service about this, they replied I needed to use the form to submit the claim. I forwarded the error I kept getting and eventually they stopped replying.- London-Pisa

The flight was initially delayed 3 hours due to air Control strike, then the aircraft from Malta arrived. We were left outside for another two hours to embark the aircraft until we were told that there is a mechanical problem with aircraft. We had to wait for accommodation that was offered by Ryan until 4 am of the next day then only being told that there is no accommodation available. At around 4 am we had to find our own accommodation. We finally departed after 14 hours, around 11 am the next day. The crew told us that the replacement aircraft had to come from Berlin to replace the aircraft we were meant to board. To note: I have submitted expenses claim directly with Ryan Air. I would like only to submit the compensation claim under EU261- Lisbon-Malta

I just boarded for my flight FR2205 from Valencia to Sevilla
I just boarded for my flight FR2205 from Valencia to Sevilla. The boarding agent was very rude and he treated me so bad . Everyone on the flight had oversized handbags and even 2-3 extra bags and backpacks but he only chose me to check my cabin bag not fitting in your machine . I have photos of all the carry ons and backpacks that wouldnβt fit in your measuring stand but he only made me pay for my one cabin bag 50euros just because I had a Canadian passport. I really felt awfully mistreated and discriminated. I have been flying through Europe for the last 15 days with the same cabin bag and never ever was stopped to pay for it . Iβm extremely unhappy and disappointed with the treatment of your agent . I want this complaint to be taken seriously and I look forward to your response. Discrimination and unfairness by Ryanair staff in the airpor
I am writing to complaint regarding the extremely poor treatment I received from your ground staff at Rabat Airport on October 22, 2024, for the flight departing at 22:05 to London Stansted, reservation VLUU2C, RK1365, Upon approaching the gate, I was asked to place my cabin bag in the luggage sizer for the second time. The bag entered easily and fit within the allowed dimensions as I specifically bought the suitcase based on your companyβs measurements. Initially, your colleague even checked it before and confirmed that it was fine. However, another staff member then claimed that my suitcase was one centimetre outside, which was not true. Despite my polite request for them to check again, the staff member began shouting at me, insisting that I pay, or they would close the doors and I wouldnβt be able to board. Her unprofessional behavior escalated when she told me that if I didnβt pay, I could leave my suitcase behind, which seemed entirely unreasonable given that my bag complied with your rules. I felt discriminated against and unfairly treated, especially when other passengers with larger bags were not subjected to the same scrutiny. is unacceptable and does not reflect the service that Ryanair should be known for. The rude behavior, shouting, and lack of fairness have left me feeling extremely upset and cried for the treatment received making me feel unwanted in my own country I kindly request that you investigate this incident and take appropriate actions to ensure that no other passenger experiences the same unfair treatment. Additionally, I would appreciate a refund of the 70 euros I was forced to pay, given that my cabin bag met the required size standards. Stansted airport parking and customer service
My partners birthday is the reason for this short trip as itβs all I could afford. Our car broke down last week and is in the garage. We have been informed that the car is not roadworthy and the work to fix it is out of budget for us. We have had to make the decision to halt usage of the car until we can come up with the funds to fix it. This trip was supposed to be a stress free get away but unfortunately weβre struggling with the incurred cost of train tickets and have been refused a refund for airport parking that we no longer require. On the airport parking website it says that refunds can be claimed up to 72 hours before the booking. Unfortunately, we chose to book parking through RyanAir, which is a mistake I wonβt make again. Iβm appalled that customer service were not willing to do anymore than apologise and blanket refuse to do anything to help with the situation. This exchange has put a bitter taste in my mouth. I will be sharing my experiences online and as a recurring customer, am appalled at how this has been handled. A multimillion pound corporation. Absolutely no remorse or sympathy shown. Times are tough. A little empathy would go a long way, especially for hard working individuals trying to get on the housing market and who are stuck renting feeding into the broken system.

Hello, I would like to make a complaint please about a recent flight that I was on from London (Gatwick) to Dublin airport on Sunday the 20th of October. Initially, we were scheduled to take off at 12:10 PM. However, we didnβt board until 12:55 PM, resulting in a delay before we even got on the plane. As time went on, we heard nothing else. Then we were informed about the weather in Dublin and that it was not safe to land. Dublin airport was not letting aircrafts depart therefor did not have the capacity to take on any aircrafts arriving. To an extend I completely understand that this was out of scope and no one has control over nature, However, 6 hours passed and we were still sitting on the plane on the tarmac. It was absolutely horrific. Honestly I have no other words for but imprisonment. Continuously being told that we were only going to be there for an additional 30 mins and then another 30 mins and another 30 mins, so on so fourth. Until 6 hours had passed and we were still sitting on a hot plane with no air con and no water 6 hour later. I understand that both the flight attendants and pilots had no control over the situation, but I believe they could have anticipated when the storm would end. When the delay was first announced, we should have been brought back to the airport. We ran out of water on a high-temperature aircraft with no air conditioning. People were having panic attacks, and the woman next to me got sick in to her jumper because there were sick bags provided and was nearly passing out. About 3 hours in to the mess, one passenger was threatening to blow up the plane by lighting a cigarettes. He was then escorted off by four police officers. This caused quite a commotion among the other passengers, who naturally also wanted to get off. One lady had a baby no older than a year. The babyβs legs were swelling badly, and the mother asked if she could get off the plane. The staff said no, so they gave her ice cubes to help cool the babyβs legs. Next, an older lady accompanied by her elderly husband approached the staff with his medical certificate, explaining that he had recently undergone heart surgery and requested to leave the plane. She was also told no. Instead, they opened the plane doors and allowed the elderly man to stand beside the open door, without offering him a seat, even though he was using crutches. Another heavily pregnant lady needed to use the bathroom and was crying in pain, but she was not allowed to leave her seat, even though the aircraft was parked and not moving. The aircraft had to be refueled twice while we were on the tarmac, so Iβm sure the airline lost money by leaving us there for so long. I am not trying to criticize the staff in any way, as I know they did their very best and I greatly respect them for the help and support they provided as best as they could given the circumstance. However, this situation is primarily the airlineβs responsibility. In hindsight, the smartest decision for Ryanair would have been to cancel or reschedule the flight, rather than leaving a full plane of passengers sitting unsafely on the tarmac for such a long time, given all the issues people were experiencing on board, without water and without aircon. I rarely make complaints, especially in such unfortunate situations. However, I truly believe we could have been treated much better. The experience has honestly left me traumatized. I am looking for some sort of compensation as the over all journey was delayed greater than 5 hours, having not landed in Ireland until 7:00pm that even for what should have been 1:30pm. As noted by law, Compensation claims for delays are covered under EU regulation EC 261, which does not require you to have travel insurance. Can you please advise on how to proceed with this query?
