Operating since 1967 from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, Air Mauritius connects its namesake East African island with destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. When you fly to any of these destinations, you can run into issues that require a complaint. For example, in a January 2024 report from CH-Aviation, up to 66,000 passengers encountered a serious Air Mauritius delay or cancellation in the previous 45 days.
Luckily, for flights from Europe and the UK, passenger rights are spelled out in Regulation EU261 and UK261. In the UK in 2023, the CAA only dealt with one active UK261 complaint for the airline. But, that’s not to say that there aren’t many more eligible UK passengers who just didn’t know they could file an Air Mauritius complaint. Plus, when you factor in all the European passengers who would also qualify, there are tons of potential complaints.
Complaints for compensation through these two regulations are always worth filing for up to €600/£520 in compensation. Additionally, using the Air Mauritius phone, email, or online forms is also worthwhile for other complaints, like poor service. Here’s the scoop on how to get through to Air Mauritius with your complaint, whatever it may be:

For most complaints, the airline prefers you submit an online form rather than a call. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get through to an actual representative using Air Mauritius’ phone lines. Make sure you pick the correct number as the Air Mauritius phone contacts are specific to your country.
If your complaint is urgent, the Air Mauritius phone numbers are your best option for an immediate answer. You can get service in English and French.

Air Mauritius has a social media presence on the three main platforms: X, Instagram, and Facebook. While these are not typically the best ways to initiate an Air Mauritius complaint, if you’re not getting a reply, social media may be able to help. Exposing the issue to thousands of followers has a way of provoking a response from the airline.

The Contact Us page on Air Mauritius’ website directs you to their series of online forms if you want to file a complaint about ticket refunds, delayed flights, baggage, or cancelled flights. There is also an online form for compliments and suggestions, which is where you can submit an Air Mauritius complaint related to poor service or other issues.
This is when you might consider heading to social media to draw attention to the situation. Alternatively, if your complaint is about any type of flight disruption, including denied boarding and missed connections, AirAdvisor is your best ally. We know how to get through to airlines and have a 98% success rate.
