While many passengers rave about the hospitality provided during flights, the carrier still suffers from frequent delays and issues with baggage mishandling.
If your recent flight was less than optimal, and you want to file a complaint, you’ll find all the contact information you need here, plus some helpful tips on how to get the best outcome for the issue at hand.
Disrupted flight? You might have a right to compensation - up to €600Check Your Flight
Because Bulgaria is part of the European Union, Bulgaria Air is required to comply with the rules set in Regulation EU261. For passengers, this means that anytime a flight is delayed, overbooked, or cancelled, the airline must provide cash compensation and refunds depending on the situation. As such, and depending on your specific flight details, you could be compensated up to €600.
Additionally, baggage loss, delay, or damage can also lead to reimbursement and compensation as per the rules in the Montreal Convention.
Perfect for fast answers or questions that can only be explained adequately by an airline agent, these phone numbers will put you in touch with a representative. Be advised that you may be charged for calls depending on your phone service and hold times can be considerable.

If your request isn’t urgent or you prefer communicating in writing, you might want to send the airline an email. This method is especially useful for more official types of complaints as you will have a record of what was said and when.

Email is the contact mode of choice for Air Bulgaria. They even suggest as much on their website. However, if you have a general question or complaint and you’re unsure which contact to use, you can always write to the airline on the contact form located on the Contacts page.

While this might be the slowest option, it is always a trusty standby for times when you need to send physical documents or when email isn’t available to you.
This is a surprisingly effective way to reach a Bulgaria Air agent, especially if you have sent a complaint by email, and they haven’t responded. Also, you can sometimes get help with flight delays or cancellations if you’re unable to get through on the phone.
Contact Air Bulgaria on Facebook or write to them via Facebook Messenger.
The first thing you should do is check the amount of compensation you could receive. You can do this through AirAdvisor’s compensation calculator by entering the basic details of your flight. Knowing how much you’re owed will give your complaint more credence and, as a result, improve the chances that you’ll actually receive what you’re owed.
You’ll then want to write a letter explaining your situation. An easy way to do this is to use one of our templates. We have one for airline refund requests, refunds, and general poor service, and they will help you cover all the bases for getting the best outcome possible.

It can take a few weeks or a month for airlines to respond to complaints. But if Bulgaria Air hasn’t responded to your request, we can help!
