TUI Flight Delay Compensation and Refund for Cancelled Flight

Well a had my uncle way me at nearly 70 it was a nitemare we where up round the clock

One of air crew sick so we couldn't use the crew, next day the new flight was also delayed, arrived at final destination over 24 hours later, we arrived at airport and flight was cancelled it was chaotic, I lost a days work and costs with animal care.

Could not land in zante ,had to pay expensuve transport to get to accomodation and missed family visiting .

delayed at take off by 2 hours approx . Circled Palma for 30 mins approx , diverted to Valencia ,landed Valencia were not allowed to disembark . Left Valencia about 15.20 landed Palma approx 1600 hours local time almost 8 hours late

Air conditioning not working on plane, Sat on plane for 2hrs with my 2 children, it was like a sauna! No information given. Flight cancelled, taken to hotel for night, told flight would be priory next day, so hardly slept, then got an email at 5-37 saying our flight was at 16.25. Communication was shocking, worse experience, especially sat on that hot plane

We were told via email there would be a 2 hour delay. By the time we departed it was more than 3 hours. On the way home we had another delay of over an hour and the flight had no running water so had no hot drinks available and no water in the toilet. The baggage took over an hour to come through at Manchester with only two other flights arriving which both cleared well before ours. Very poor service, nobody on customs at all!

We are really unsure if reasons fir delays, not stairs stuck on plane and then 2.5 wait on luggage claim

My children were sick hungry crying upset we were at the hotel late

My flight was delayed going out by three hours and my flight coming home was changed and delayed and I never got my seats I paid for, this was my first flight travelling alone and with suffering from deep vein thrombosis in the past was very scary to not get the extra legroom seat I paid for

Delay 3 hours 4 mins .. it had been delayed but we should get to the airport at the normal time .. took off at 19.30 arrived 01.09 .. no care at airport or on plane ..it meant I arrived with my grandson at our hotel around 4.30am hence missed breakfast and half the first day of our holiday ..

We were not informed why exactly there was a delay but we had to get another airplane - with getjet instead of TUI. There was very little communication from TUI as to why we were delayed we sat at the airport in Palma for hours. Flight was meant to leave at 11am we did not leave until 3pm. We missed transport on the other end and luggage was not transferred. The lack of communication or information from tui at the airport caused uncertainty as it was not made clear how long we’d be there for or what was going on.

I arrived at said airport in Corfu to board my flight to Belfast Int Airport (25/08/2023) which was due for departure at 20:25 Local time, however this was delayed until 22:42 EEST. Upon my arrival I was informed I was not able to board my flight - this left me stranded in the country - causing debilitating anxiety of how this would prevail - I had to (at very short notice and at a cost to myself) - pay for 2 connecting flights direct to Manchester, Manchester to Dublin, Dublin to Belfast (via bus). The airline provided me with no support, advice, guidance or comfort. I was lucky enough to get support from a total stranger who supported me in booking the said flights to get home. This put unbearable pressure on my family members who had to support me in paying for the flights totalling €524.41. I finally arrived in Dublin a full day after I was supposed to arrive in Belfast. This whole debacle has left me anxious to ever travel again. I demand further insight into how TUI can totally wipe their hands of an human being and disregard their duty of care to passengers? - I appreciate I was asked to leave my hotel due to misbehaviour which I totally accept responsibility for and that this was booked as a package along with the flights - but that has nothing to do with a duty to return passengers safely to their home country.

Left all night at airport no hotel accommodation no vouchers for food and drinks lost money paying for extra food and drinks around £180

On 28th August 2023 the National Air Traffic Control System experienced technical issues. Due to this disruption our flight was unable to operate and our holiday was cancelled by tui. My booking reference is 20161128. I booked a flight to Enfidha, Tunisia. We were to fly via Tui TOM656. We paid £1058.98 for the all inclusive 7 night deal. Love holiday have confirmed to refund us 378.98. Tui confirmed initially to refund us 680.00 which covers the full cost of our holiday which was £1058.98. However we paid £60 for extra leg room seats on the plane. I called to get this refunded. I was told that tui would refund us £738 which included the money for our holiday and the seats - this is incorrect as we should be refunded £740 in total (£680 for the holiday and £60 for extra leg room seats.) We also had to book our kittens into a cattery for 10 days costing us £220 this is non-refundable. We have been advised to ask for this refund online. We have an invoice to show you the cattery payment we made. Also my husband took time off of work, he is not paid for his annual leave as he works in a shop. He has lost out on £200. He works 2.5 days a week, Mon-Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday he works 10hours and Wednesday he works 5 hours. He gets paid £10 an hour. He was unable to go to work Monday and Tuesday because of the flight cancellation. We are looking to get £200 refunded for my husbands lost in wages. I took annual leave off also. I get paid for annual leave however I have lost out in 2 days annual leave because of the flight cancellation. We wish to be refunded for all of the above. Invoice from the cattery can be provided and I can provide my husband and my own wage slips regarding work pay. Whilst waiting at the airport waiting to board the flight we purchased food however the flight was cancelled. The tui manager at the airport advised that we can ask for this to be refunded. We have the receipts to show this. Can you advise how I go about getting all this refunded.

Delayed for ten hours, had to sleep over at the airport, was at the airport for a total of 23 hours.

Upon arrival at Tenerife airport , we were told the plane had a delay . we were given a meal voucher ( that did not work). We were told the reason for the delay was due to sickness of the chief steward and they had to wait for another steward to travel to Gatwick to pick up the plane. The flight left Tenerife 3 hours and 1 minute late . we landed just under 3 hours late , but the flight was diverted to Stanstead airport ( for operational reasons - the plane was flying out of Stanstead the next morning) therefore we were delayed over three hours and did not get to our destination airport. We were not informed of the changed destination until the plane started its descent. Upon arriving at Stanstead we were told to go the information desk to find out how we would be transferred to Gatwick . The information desk had not been told anything , i had to be at work in 4 hours , so i had to pay 200 pounds for a taxi form Stanstead to Gatwick . I have tried to claim via Tui for the delayed flight but only got a generic response saying the delay did NOT appear on Their system and therefore the claim was rejected

Collected; dropped t airport; all passengers shoved into one small room with one toilet. When we finally got on the flight; captain told us there were there the whole time.

Tui collected us from the hotel; took us to the airport. A plane full of air passengers were packed into a small area; no allowed to Leah to even get a drink or something to eat-with one toilet. It was delayed and when we finally got onto our flight; the captain told us all our plane was there the whole time and tui knew the times would be delayed

We were due to fly back 28th July from Boa Vista to LGW. We had to land in Gran Canaria as the pilot was taken ill. We were then delayed almost 24 hours as TUI could not arrange another flight the same day. We flew back 29th July at 1:30pm

Website stated no delays, we checked out of hotel early to get to airport had to ask for meal subsidy very little proactive activity to ensure customer comfort

We were delayed by 6.5 hours on 28 Aug 2023 Flight No TOM2155 (Naples to Manchester) 4 Passengers Due to depart 12:40, actually departed 19:15 Due to arrive 14:40, actually arrived 20:50 We received emails from TUI to explain flight disruption and to simply wait for emails and watch departure boards for further instructions. No assistance/care provided by TUI/airline.

Flight left 2.5 hours late from Gatwick making its arrival in Dalaman late. Flight Radar showed aircraft still on the ground at LGW. Airline did provide a food bag

We arrived at the gate and boarded our flight 2 hours late and sat on the plane for over an hour, we taxied to the runway only to be told the cabin crew were out of hours and that the flight would not be boarding today. We were then taken off the plane, had to collect our bags and were told that we had to return home or find overnight accommodation - we are still waiting!!!!!!

Hello. I would like to make a complaint! Our flight was cancelled from Tenerife to Cardiff TOM 6161 and we have been place in a disgusting room 035 at Tigotan. There is no way this is a 3 star hotel. We have been on holiday in Guayarmina Princess platinum celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary which we have spent a lot of money. Yesterday we were placed in Tigotan which so far has be below our standards! Firstly placed in a basic room! Then to find a giant cockroach on the wall to which we had to phone reception to eliminate. I found the maintenance man outside who I asked to get rid of it after fighting and running around the room scared shitless!!!!!! For him to be scared also and not do anything then finally and brave lady came with a giant can of cockroach spray! I asked if we can change rooms as I am terrified to have the response from the reception guy… what’s the problem it is gone now!!! This is making me very unwell, I suffer with anxiety! As you can tell by my email I can not sleep because of this! I have also been I told by other people from the same canes flight who have been placed in your hotel on floor 5 how amazing their room is which is also a massive insult after the trauma I have had to witness and they had previously only Been half board elsewhere!!! Evening meal very basic and most food run out! To be told it’s all Gone!!!! My anxiety is through the roof!

I would like to make an official complaint about TUI We had a flight booked for 28/8/23 and due to the air traffic issues which was all over the news we missed our flight We were so disappointed, we have been in Gatwick airport from 1pm 28/8/23 I have three kids and traveled a lot but I have never experienced such thing in my whole life I found TUI staff to be rude and not giving any assistance or advice. We were there and when we checked for update we found staff extremely rude. I understand that due to the air traffic issues no one was aware of any updates There were no boards to advertise the update There were no announcements as apparently this is a “silent airport” this is ridiculous and outrageous at 5:30 when we approached for another update we were told that the flight had taken off! We were fumming and we were told next flight by TUI is on 1/9/23 The kids were crying and upset and had missed our flight. They said a representative came asking if anyone is going to Marrakesh. My husband said he is happy to get to the flight to Agadir and arrange our own transport to Marrakesh but the TUI adviser said this isn’t possible. We were left stranded with no help or support from TUI. Upon my return I will take this case further and go to court if needs be With no choice left we booked another flight with BA at £300 per person!!! We are now spending night in the airport and out of pocket. We purchased food and drink and were uncomfortable for a large number of hours. We are due to arrive to Marrakesh 29/8/24 at 10:20 am with BA I will require a full refund along with compensation for the HUGE inconvenience this caused me, my husband and my three kids. Also I want a transfer from the airport to the hotel for tomorrow.

We were on plane on time but we were told there would be a delay in taking off. We eventually took off. We had to land at Porto to refuel and we took off again and arrived in Tenerife. We arrived at 22.04pm we were due to arrive at 18.25pm. Air line provided nothing as we were all in the plane , weren't allowed anywhere.

Diverted to Glasgow. Should have landed in Aberdeen at 23.40.arrived in Glasgow after 3am. Taxi 4 hr car journey to Aberdeen. 8hrs late arriving home. Email to advise flight redirected. Free drink on the plane.

Had to land at different airport due to weather then couldn’t take off due to bird strike & pilot ran out of flying time

We got to Dalaman airport,at 11.30 pm,flight was at 1am. We queued for 50 minutes,when we got to the TUi desk,to book in,they said we could not fly! As we were late,I took a video,from where we were standing,to the TUI desk. The TUI rep,named ASLIHAN,was SO SO rude to me and my 2 daughters. She said " your on your own,nothing I can do"!. So we are stranded at Dalaman airport,didn't know what to do.
